Description

Description

The new cottage is available for week long rentals in the summer and weekend/month long renters year round. We have completely reconstructed the cottage to include an open concept living area on the first floor with a couch, comfy chairs, kitchen table and chairs, and an island with five stools. We also have installed new stainless appliances including a gas stove and double oven, a vented microwave, a dishwasher, and quartz counter tops. The second floor has two bedrooms - a master with a queen bed and a second bedroom with three twins (one twin bunk, one twin) - and a full bath with heated flooring in the upstairs bathroom. Central heating and A/C are throughout the house.

Our cottage is in Harwich Port, which was recognized by Coastal Living magazine as one of the best beach towns in the U.S. The area is lined with several small cottages that are filled with couples and families all summer long.

We have off street parking for up to three cars. We have a stocked kitchen and an outdoor grill. Bring your own linens, towels, etc. or request linens for a fee.

The beach is fairly calm (small waves) because Monomoy Island acts as a barrier island to the Harwich Port beaches, which makes it great for young children. It is also great for stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, floating, fishing, and swimming.

Throughout the summer, artists share and sell their work weekly at Art in the Park right in town -- only a 5-7 minute walk. Music in the Port also occurs weekly, typically on Wednesday evenings. Locals and visitors come out and enjoy the entertainment while popping into local shops, restaurants, or just dancing in the streets.

There is also a ferry (Freedom Cruise Line) close by that travels to Nantucket. This is one of the best kept secrets of ferry travel to Nantucket because there is free parking and no hassle lines.

Beautiful and cozy place to stay.

    Jill and Chris,
Was very please with the beautiful home, great location to the beach and a short walk to our niece and her family's home. It had everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely look into renting this home again in the future for another week or longer.
Thank you again, we had a wonderful time!!

    Beautiful home close to Beach

Our family of 4 just spent a week in this beautiful home. With jut a two minute walk to the beach or a five minute walk to town, the location just can’t be beat. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return!

    Highly recommend

We had a fantastic vacation at this Harwich Port home! Our 4 and 6-year-old girls enjoyed the bunk beds, and we were easily able to fit the Pack n Play for our 1-year-old in the Master Bedroom. The home was bright, clean and decorated beautifully. Plenty of space for groceries in the refrigerator or pantry and the cabinets were well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc., for the times we wanted to eat in. We also used the grill out back which was very convenient.

Our family has been vacationing in this neighborhood for years and we love the location. Just a short walk to the beautiful beach or into town. So many fun activities for the kids including mini golf, bumper boats, go karts, ice cream, etc. And for the adults there are plenty of shopping and dining options. We would highly recommend this home for a fun beach getaway! show more show less

    Beautiful Cape Home

We loved our stay at this brand new Cape home. It was decorated beautifully, with many perks. We had a very hot and humid week and the central air kept us cool and comfortable. We will definitely love to come back.

    Our best Cape vacation ever

We’ve been staying in Harwich Port for many years, and this was by far the best house we’ve ever rented. Bright and clean. Comfortable and feels spacious and airy. The air conditioning was such an amazing amenity during a very humid stretch. We gathered often around the kitchen island thanks to the open floor plan. The balcony was our favorite. We look forward to renting next year!

    Perfect, relaxing getaway

This completely remodeled home had more than enough space for our family of three. The brand new finishes were so fun and charming. It’s an extremely short walk to the beach, and the other families in the neighborhood were always friendly and helpful. Main Street with its restaurants and shops were a 15 minute walk from the cottage. The homeowners were very attentive and always available when we texted/called with questions. We really loved our stay and would highly recommend to others.

Great stay with my 2 boys

We had a wonderful 2 week stay. My boys rode their bikes all over the neighborhood. They met tons of other kids and played on the beach for hours every day. They crabbed and fished off the jetty and we walked, scootered, and skateboarded everywhere. It's steps to the beach and there are tons of great restaurants just around the corner. Although the cottage is old, it is clean, and has everything you need. It's rustic but totally adequate. The no TV/no wifi enabled us to do puzzles, read, play cards, and mostly stay outside by the ocean our whole entire stay. Thanks for the great summer memories. show more show less

We have been vacationing on Ocean Ave for 20+ years. We loved the neighborhood, the beach community, the neighbors, and the location. Harwich Port is a darling little town with great shops and restaurants. We recently purchased the cottage and are thrilled to own a home by the water. It is a dream come true for us.

What is special about this property?
26 Ocean Ave is perfect for families, couples, or friends that want to be close to the beach and love the quaint village of Harwich Port. Everything in the cottage is new as of the summer of 2018.

The beach is easily accessible, especially if you have little kids or just want to be close to your own bathroom and kitchen. There are several other cottages in the neighborhood - some are rentals and some are permanent homes. Many cottages have been rebuilt and updated over the past 5 or so years. There are more walkers and bikes on the streets than cars. Kids ride around the neighborhood playing games and making friends. An ice cream truck is a frequent visitor to the street and always draws a large crowd.

What is special about your town?
Harwich Port is a small yet lively town with delightful shops and restaurants. It is an easy 7 minute walk from the cottage. Throughout the summer, artists share and sell their work weekly at Art in the Park. Music in the Port also occurs weekly, typically on Wednesday evenings. Locals and visitors come out and enjoy the entertainment while popping into shops and dancing in the streets.
