This cute, clean 2 bedroom cottage has been in our family since 1975 and has hosted many happy tenants over the years. It has a large, comfortable main room, a small full kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a full sized bed and 2 twins with ample extra space, the other has a full bed. There is also a futon in the main room. Amenities include gas grill, outdoor shower, picnic table, excellent washer/dryer, cable TV, DVD player and AC window units in the bedrooms.

It's just a 5 minute walk to a cute, semi-private beach at the end of the street. Larger public beaches are a block in either direction from there. Harwich also has lovely ponds, beautiful bike paths, cranberry bogs, great restaurants and a variety of fun shops. There are many fun family activities, several within walking distance of the house. The house is also perfectly located for daytrips around the whole Cape. Renters are welcome to use beach chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, and house linens but these must be washed and put away at checkout. References/testimonials from former renters are available.

    I spent my summers in this house as a child and bought it from my family 20 years ago. I get to spend a few weeks there each summer, and like to see it full of happy vacationers in the other weeks. Most of my renters come from the school district I work in in the Washington DC area, or they are friends or family in Massachusetts. Many renters have come come back year after year. A random week here and there are filled with We Need a Vacation folks.
    I'm happy to answer any questions.


    What is special about this property?
    This house is very simple, which is part of it's charm. There is no dishwasher, the AC is from window units, and the furniture and electronics are not the fanciest. But the cottage has a great vibe that invites a laid back attitude. The beach is a lovely 8-10 minute walk away, and downtown is just about a mile. There are also go carts, mini-golf and a cute breakfast restaurant right up the street.

    What is special about your town?
    Harwich is perfectly situated right in the middle of the Cape. You can drive to P-town, or go all the way back to the bridge in half an hour. The town is bustling with activity, but still has a small town feel.
