Description

**We're back on WeNeedAVacation after a little hiatus. Our basement has been renovated and it includes a new couch, kitchen, bathroom with shower and an extra bedroom with two twin beds. On the first floor, we have added a king bed to the master suite and moved a queen bed to one of the guest bedrooms. We have the first two weeks of July available for rent which is a wonderful time to be down the Cape. We also have the last week of August and early September available when the water is at its warmest and the area is little less crowded.**

This charming home has a new patio with a grill, sun room, outdoor shower and plenty of yard to explore. Less than a half mile from Old Silver, one of the most beautiful beaches on Cape Cod. Beach gear and a trolley are available in the garage for a short stroll down to the beach. The warm water, white sand and sheltered bay makes it ideal for swimming. Stay to view a beautiful sunset. The cottage is a mile from the Shining Sea Bike Path which runs from North Falmouth all the way to Woods Hole. There is a bike shop for rentals or bring your own.
Easy access and a short drive to both the downtown area with all of its shops and restaurants and the ferry, for a day trip to Martha's Vineyard.

A third of a mile from the Sea Crest Beach Resort which has a dining room, bar and outdoor bar overlooking the beach. There are also a number of restaurants and shops in North Falmouth.

The perfect spot to have good times and make memories with family and friends.

    Can I stay here forever!?

This is a comfortable, serene, cozy, clean home and I don't want you to know about it, lol. It has the old school, lived in, Cape Cod vibes, with all the conveniences. The mattresses are all very comfortable, everything is well stocked with all you need (truly - from kleenex to linens to kitchen ware), the TVs in the upstairs and downstairs living rooms are great, there's plenty of space for a large party, and the internet was strong enough for remote work and all day video conferencing (though I did stay close to the router in the living room/dining area for the best connection).

I was here for about 3 months, and enjoyed every minute! The neighborhood is set back, quiet, and private, but only a 1/2 mile walk to the beach - it's a great, easy walk with sidewalks and beautiful scenery, or there's plenty of parking if you choose that instead! The backyard is next to a church and every hour you get to hear the beautiful church bells...it's like being in Europe. There's also some fun wildlife around in the large, manicured, serene yard.

Fran and his family are lovely people and hosts - very welcoming, kind, communicative, and easy to work with! I had a few minor issues which were addressed quickly, and Fran was attentive and communicative when we were hit with a big nor'easter and lost power for several days (99% of Falmouth was out). Despite all that the house was cozy and comfortable and I was happy to be there! This would be a great place for a party of up to 6-8 (6 would be most comfortable). Thank you Fran!!

    Amazing Stay

We loved this house. Location is great! we walked to Old Silver Beach. We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs and beach wagon. Awesome deck and outdoor patio. We ate most of our meals outside. The house has everything you need for a fabulous vacation!

    Great vacation house

We had a wonderful time here. The layout of the house, with 3 bedrooms being on the same level as the kitchen and living area is ideal for our family with two toddlers. We didn't have to worry about stairs and there was no need for baby gates.

Old Silver Beach is only a 10 minute walk away and we always walked to the beach, sometimes twice a day to watch the gorgeous sunsets in the evenings.

The backyard is very pretty, with a nice patio in a sunny spot. It is surrounded with trees and feels private.

Overall, a great house in a great location.

Perfect House For a Family of Three or Four Couples

This property is amazing. It is tucked away on a quiet backyard. The owners have worked wonders in turning a hilly and rock rimmed backyard into play and leisure patio space. The house looks small from the outside but once you get inside the house flies beautifully into multiple living spaces. My son and family from Alabama stayed there and they loved it, especially the five year old who had to show everyone the hidden bedroom. It is a little less than a mile to Old Silver Beach, and you can ride through three neighborhoods and around Wing Pond to get to the bike path. When we need family space, we would rent again. The owner was super responsive. Thank you. show more show less

    Our Lovely Vacation

We stayed in this wonderful clean and neat house this summer. The house is conveniently located a five minute drive from the Old Silver beach. The beach chairs, towels and bed sheets were provided. We were very pleased to find full instructions for the Wi-Fi setup, garbage and recycling schedule, and such in the house. The owner was promptly available to answer any questions, which is so important when one is on vacation.

The TV is modern and there is nice seating in front of it. The grille on the patio works well. The landscaping is nice and there is garden furniture on the lawn, and one can relax there.
We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Pleasant stay in a family friendly destination

My family and I have stayed a few times in this spacious and peaceful home. Coming from a busy city to this destination has brought us wonderful times with plenty of nature, fresh air, privacy, and proximity to family friendly spots. We took the kids to the Shining Sea bikeway which is about two miles from this cottage. The Cape Cod children's museum was awesome and very entertaining for our children and is close by. Old Silver Beach was at walking distance which was very convenient. This house is very private, but at the same time it is a short drive to downtown Falmouth, where there are many restaurants and shops. We loved going to Ben and Bill's Chocolate Emporium for ice cream. The open floor uniting different living areas makes all the family activities more memorable, and do not forget to watch the stars at the deck or have breakfast outdoors. show more show less

    A beautiful vacation time!

We rented this lovely cottage during the first week of July. We fit 6 very comfortably (4 adults and 2 children). It was very cozy, clean and neat. The owner was always available to answer questions. We enjoyed the new HD TV’s and the ability to wash and dry clothes on the main floor. Linens and towels were provided which allowed us to travel lighter. The cottage is spacious with a sun room which was perfect for breakfast in the mornings and for the kids to play with their toys after returning from the beach. We grilled and ate dinner on the elevated deck, enjoying the view of the conservation land that is right behind the property. We found a delightful playground nearby (5 min. drive) for the kids to play. Conveniently close enough that we walked 8 minutes to the beach in the mornings and would spend all day. We also had the option of taking our lease to the Town to get a parking sticker if we wanted to explore Falmouth’s numerous beaches. Ultimately, we stayed local because Old Silver is hands down the best beach for children on the Cape. Coolers were provided so we could bring food and drinks to the beach. There’s also a burger shack right at Old Silver that serves tasty sandwiches. Some of us ventured out for a cocktail on the outdoor bar next at the Sea Crest Resort. We found some great ice cream shops in the Falmouth. It doesn’t get much better than enjoying an ice cream while watching the sun go down over the ocean. The owner provided plenty of beach chairs. It truly is the Casa del Sol (house of the sun). We’ll definitely will be coming back on a future vacation. show more show less

As a young boy, my family took summer vacations in North Falmouth. After I got married, my wife and I started to rent cottages in Falmouth through WeNeedaVacation. We had such great experiences that we decided to look into purchasing our own cottage in the area. After taking a look at several places, we fell in love with the home we ultimately purchased last Spring. The cottage was so warm and inviting. The location in North Falmouth was perfect, close to both Old Silver Beach and the Shining Sea Bike Path. Our first summer as home owners in North Falmouth was amazing. We had a few rentals as well, even though we bought the home late in the season. It was all very positive. We were happy to share our beautiful home with those looking for a special Summer vacation.

What is special about this property?
The things that made us fall in love with the cottage are ones that will make a it a perfect spot for a vacation. You walk in to a sitting room, in front of a fireplace that is connected to the open kitchen and dining room. Just off the dining room is a large enclosed sun room, which is our favorite place to have breakfast or coffee. It also gets transformed into a playroom by the kids. Off the sun room is an elevated deck, which is the perfect spot to grill and have dinner after coming back from the beach. If you walk down the deck stairs, you come out to a brand new patio that we've added this off season. It's going to be a great spot to enjoy the conservation land that is behind the property, while sipping on a cocktail or enjoying a meal.
On the main floor, you'll also find a large living room with a new HD TV. The room conveniently connects to the deck. Walking down the hall from the kitchen past the laundry area are two comfortable guest rooms, with a shared bath and a large master bedroom, with an en suite bathroom.
The finished basement has an additional full bath and entertainment area with a new HD TV.
The property contains a large front and back yard to explore, on a quiet street.

What is special about your town?
Falmouth is our favorite town on Cape Cod. It is a short drive from both the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges. Our cottage is within walking distance of beautiful Old Silver Beach. We're also a short drive from the Shining Sea Bike Path which runs 10.7 miles past beautiful scenery ending in Woods Hole. It's a wonderful spot to go for a ride, walk or jog. North Falmouth has some excellent restaurants and shops. One of our favorite's is the Cheese Shop, which is a mile from the cottage. Along with their wide selection of cheeses, they also carry many tasty soups and breads. The downtown area, which is only a 15 minute drive from our cottage, has dozens of restaurants and shops. It has a quaint old school New England feel. It's the perfect place to dine, get an ice cream afterwards and go for a stroll.
Woods Hole is also a 15 minute drive away from the cottage. It has several restaurants and is the home to the Steamship Authority's ferries which will take you to the perfect day trip on Martha's Vineyard.

From June to August, you can also catch a Cape League baseball game. The Falmouth Commodores competes with 9 other Cape towns to be the league champion.
