Fronting the Child's River, this lower-level apartment with its own entrance is ideal for 1-2 people, who want to rent six weeks or more. The private home is in an established neighborhood, and the owner is on the premises. Amenities include high-speed WIFI, a mini-split a/c in the living room and another in the bedroom, all utilities, use of a washer and dryer, bed linens, and bath and beach towels. Housecleaners come between rentals and every other week throughout the season.
In the apartment, all walls are white, all floors are white ceramic tiles, and there is recessed lighting throughout. The front room has large gliding windows which overlook the river leading to Vineyard Sound. You can watch the boats go by, read, write, relax, watch the birds, work on your computer, or have a meal at the table. Next, the kitchen comes equipped with a fridge, large toaster oven, an induction plate, and many appliances, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. A counter with two stools separates the kitchen and living room, which has a couch, chairs, cable TV, and gas inset fireplace. Down the hall, there is a white-tiled, full bathroom and a bedroom containing two twin-XL beds, which can join to become a king-sized bed. A back room contains a washer, dryer, dryer rack, iron, and ironing board. Outdoors, the stone patio brings you closer to the water and gardens. There is a sitting area with a table and chairs, as well as a propane gas grill with barbecue utensils.
Seacoast Shores is a friendly neighborhood. The local free beach is a 6-minute walk from the apartment. If you continue your walk (or run) for another mile, you will reach the end of the peninsula and see Martha's Vineyard in the distance. There are numerous rights-of-way in the neighborhood for you to have a closer look at the river or for you to launch your own kayak or canoe. Please note, though, that the dock on the property is inaccessible to renters. The neighborhood is also wonderful for a casual bike ride around its perimeter. You may keep bikes in the garage, where there are beach chairs for your use, too. This rental has driveway parking for one car.
