Description

Description

Immaculate year-round ranch style home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and most of the amenities we always wanted when we rented vacation homes. We try to add something new to our home each year. Last year we updated the deck, painted one of the bathrooms and had new floors installed in the bathrooms, and have a new roof. Since last summer we have renovated the kitchen: new cabinets, bigger island and new counter tops. Over the years we have added an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water, 3 hammocks, Wi-Fi, and cable. We have replaced mattresses, added a very comfortable couch and a new gas grill. The back yard is wooded and quiet, and the back deck with table and chairs is a great place for meals. Although there are a great number of activities available in and around Eastham, our vacation home is also a good place to relax and just enjoy being at the Cape. Whether it is in the hammock or sitting on the deck reading a book from our mini library, you can chill out and forget about the pressures and demands of everyday life.
Nearby are superb ocean and bay beaches and also extensive bike paths and hiking trails. One of the main bike paths that goes through the towns of Wellfleet, Eastham, Orleans and Brewster is about 10 minutes from our front door. There are many craftsmen and artists located on the Cape, and craft fairs are held frequently during the summer months. The many crafts/artists' galleries in every town on the Cape make shopping a real adventure to enjoy. Ten minutes away are the Wellfleet movie theaters which include a drive in theater with double features every night, and a huge flea market that is held daily throughout the summer. If you travel out to Provincetown, about 1 hour from our home, you will find the largest artist colony on the Cape and great shopping. Exciting Whale Watching cruises are available, and offer amazing views as many whales make their summer home in the waters around the Cape.
There are many golf courses all over the Cape making the availability of tee times substantially better than most summer resorts. You will also find many miniature golf courses, each one having a unique design that many families will enjoy.
When it comes to dining out, there are excellent restaurants to choose from. Although the Cape is famous for fresh seafood, there are many other culinary delights to be found. Casual dress is the norm on the Cape unless stated otherwise. And, don't forget the ice cream shops that abound.
There are activities galore that everyone can enjoy, including the children. For those interested in fishing, trout can be found in many of the ponds. Numerous fishing boats are available for charter both for off shore and for deep sea fishing. You can obtain a shellfish permit from the Eastham department of Natural Resources that can be used for clamming at low tide in designated areas. You must present your rental lease to be able to obtain the permit as a non-resident.
Unfortunately vacations usually seem like they are too short but we hope that your time spent in our Cape home will enable you to go home and feel like you had a vacation that really recharged your batteries.

    Beautiful Home and great location

The pictures do not do this home justice! It's very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. Great location to get to all the beaches and Arnold's. We loved how close is was to the bike trail also.

We had a great time, the house was perfect for our needs. The back deck/yard was secluded and had everything we needed. Grill, hammocks, table chairs and outdoor shower. Inside had central air and washer/dryer in the clean basement, must have's for us. The inside was clean and plenty of room for 5 of us. The location was close to the bike trail, shops, ocean and bayside beaches. We would definitely come back next year!

    Cozy and Comfortable

We enjoyed a fun week at the Cape and found the house to be cozy and comfortable, a good size for a family of four and two friends. The deck and yard are large and the property has both privacy and convenience. Location is great with the ocean beach, bike path, and North Eastham commercial core all close by. The house has everything we needed and nothing we didn't. No AC but plenty of fans and good ventilation so we stayed cool at night. Outdoor shower is perfect when returning from the beach sandy and salty!

We have visited Eastham every summer for many years and it is a great town, with beaches on both the ocean and bay, ponds, biking, hiking, history, good restaurants, etc. Also a good location to head to Chatham or Orleans to the south and Wellfleet or Provincetown to the north. Highly recommend both the town and the house!

    Wonderful place!

Great house just off Route 6, but far enough away to be quiet. Easy walk to the ocean (25 minutes) or a 6 minute car drive, and a 7 minute drive to Campground Beach, which has warm, clear water. Relaxing back deck with grill, and very quiet neighbors.

    Home away from home!

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. It is centrally located - we took walks to Nauset Light every morning (about 1.5 miles away- a 3 mile walk RT) and also to Sam's Deli, (the Ben and Jerry's lot)- we also picked up the bike trail which has several entry ways near by. Trips to Wellfleet and Orleans were quick as it really is in the middle of everything! The house is immaculate, has everything you could need for vacation. The deck is a great size and we enjoyed much time out there, either having a meal or relaxing after the beach. The house has many windows and fans so the breezes are very nice, it is light and cozy and you immediately feel comfortable there. Another renter commented on the "good karma" in the home and I have to second that! The energy is warm and inviting and we missed the house as soon as we left.

Ginny was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive at all times. We look forward to hopefully returning to this home again next summer and summers to come!

    This a great find!

We rented this house sight unseen, and it was WONDERFUL! The photos here are from the winter and don't show the pretty plantings, flowers and secluded back deck. This rental was nice and clean with new windows, carpeting, no clutter, a spic/span basement with new washer/dryer and simple but comfy furnishings throughout.

Plenty of room for 6; the 3rd bedroom is cozy with 2 twins, but would be great for little ones. The kitchen is a tad small and could use more storage/shelves for groceries, but we always overbuy anyway! The parking, back deck and outside shower were well-planned for post-beach clean-up. Just lovely! The location is good, about a 15 min. bike ride to Coast Guard Beach and about a mile to the bike trail.

Good karma, quiet location, lots of windows, an easy place to settle into and perfect for families with kids of all ages. Hoping to rent next August. Enjoy!

    Can't wait for next year!

Perfect Cape Cod vacation spot, great location and all the comforts of home. The house is well kept with new appliances (including a washer and dryer!), comfortable beds and a nice deck on the back of the house. It feels like a home and not an absentee rental property. We have been going for 4-5 years now and we even did a long weekend in the fall last year. Everything on the Outer Cape is close by, shell fishing, the flea market, Rock Harbor for fishing charters and Arnolds for some fried clams.

The bike path is close and the road is quiet so it’s easy for the kids to get to for a quick trip up and down the Cape bike path. Go to the end of the road, and Nauset Light is a mile in one direction and the tidal flats of the Bay are a mile or two the other way. You can even ride your bike to the market down the road for last minute groceries or fresh fish at the market.

Ginny does a great job. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a Cape Cod get away.

We have owned this home since 1983, when we purchased it brand new. We had vacationed in rental home for many years prior to that, and were thrilled to be able to own our Cape GetAway. We have spent many wonderful times there with our kids and now our grandkids. We put a lot of thought into furnishing the house to include those things that we usually brought with us to our rentals, as we had experienced some lack of equipment in some of our rentals.

What is special about this property?
What we like most about our Cape home is the ease of keeping it up and the layout of the bedrooms being away from the living area. We love our yard and our hot water out door enclosed shower. The yard is quite private, with a wooded area in the back, and we usually eat all of our meals on the deck, weather permitting. We also like sharing our home with others and have made some great friends with our regular rentals.

What is special about your town?
Our location provides us with lots of amenities: drive in movie, flea markets, great restaurants and the ability to be close to both ocean and bay beaches. The bike trail is not far from the house, and our kids and grandkids love to spend time visiting them. The headquarters for the National Seashore is not far from us, and they offer wonderful programs, and have a great museum about the native Americans who inhabited this area long before the Mayflower arrived.
