Description

Description

Let's start from the top: Sun yourself and enjoy cove and ocean views on the beautiful third-floor roof deck of this spacious home near gorgeous beaches. Relax in Adirondack chairs for a feeling of floating above it all.

Now, let's drop down to the street level. The house is near the end of a quiet, private road, with a lovely landscaped yard -- think roses and hydrangeas. You'll find plenty of indoor and outdoor living space for up to eight people. Relax in the comfort of cool cross breezes, dine on the screened-in porch...or use the individual air conditioning mini splits to be at your ideal temperature.

Guests of all ages and abilities can enjoy this home - one person or couple can enjoy complete ground-floor living, with a queen bedroom/bathroom suite, as well as living room, kitchen, porch, and deck.

The pro style stove and open kitchen that flows to the living room and deck, as well as large grill, make this ideal for gathering and enjoying summer meals.

The first floor deck features a newly constructed outdoor shower to enjoy after the beach.

The second floor features a huge open space with lofty cathedral ceilings and comfy couches. Watch TV or project a movie on the wall, or relax and gaze at the verdant backyard through the large picture windows. Two large bedrooms each feature king beds, and a smaller bedroom is outfitted with three beds (two twins and a full.)

All the supplies for enjoying a beach vacation are here, including a standup paddle board and kayak, as well as beach tents, chairs, and toys. A short footpath takes you to a bench overlooking a stunning view of Town Cove.

There's plenty of yard space for family fun, including a firepit for making s'mores.

    About Dave

We're recent owners on the Cape but long-time visitors. Dave grew up in upstate New York and family vacations in Eastham were a regular occurrence in summers past. Cindy has gotten to enjoy the Cape over the past thirty years we've been in Boston. We fell in love with this house for the roof deck, and the open and spacious floorplan that seemed exceptional for family gatherings, and we've had many such gatherings since we've owned it. While this is our first season renting the property, we've been regular renters on the Cape in seasons past and think we're attuned to what makes a vacation truly memorable!

What is special about this property?
We fell in love with the roof deck, with its exceptional views of Town Cove. We've spent many afternoons and evenings on the deck, listening to music, talking with friends, and just enjoying the sun and sounds. The Great Room is fantastic for playing games, listening to music (or making it, with the included piano), or watching a movie. We find the openness and spaciousness of the house to be incredibly relaxing, and just right to return to after a day at the beach, or shopping in town. It's even perfect on a chilly rainy day -- working on a puzzle or sitting by the fireplace. We hope you enjoy it too.

What is special about your town?
Situated as we are right on the Orleans/Eastham border, you have the best of both worlds. Eastham provides many restaurants and entertainment options, as well as the amazing National Seashore beaches, bayside beaches, and fresh-water kettle ponds, ideal for swimming and for kids that need a gentler experience. Orleans provides shops, cafes, restaurants, and a charming town center, and for more mundane needs, multiple large grocery stores and drugstores.

Access to all of the beaches of the Outer Cape is quick and easy; even Provincetown is only a 35 minute drive. We really are situated centrally to all that you could want to do on the Cape!
