Description

Description

This bright and well laid-out home is situated on a quiet dirt road close to Route 6 but protected from the hustle and bustle of the highway. The indoor space is open and sunny, with several unique features with the charm and character of the 1930s construction. There are sleeping arrangements for 6 in a variety of combinations, as well as ample room both inside and out for everyone to relax and enjoy this ‘old-Cape’ neighborhood. The property lies in a secluded safe and quiet neighborhood that is perfect for families. At the same time there is easy access to Route 6 and some of the best eateries in town! Walk or drive to most of the Eastham businesses.

Step inside to a bright and open kitchen/living area with lots of storage and plenty of seating. In addition to the amenities included, you'll find puzzles and games, DVDs and videos. The adjoining sunroom could be your special 'retreat' with its separate entrance and interior door, along with a book library.

Bedrooms include the Master “Castle Reef” with queen bed, dresser, and an array of shelves and hooks for clothing and storage. Down the hall and separated from the main space by a lovely French door, “Bunk Bay” has 2 sets of bunk beds, a closet, dresser, shelves and dressing table/desk plus storage bins and an array of hooks. Although kids love this room, the bunks will support adults up to 175 - 220 lbs on the top & bottom bunks respectively. Next is “North Cove” with 2 double beds, 2 dressers, a closet, and more hooks for quickly hanging those everyday favorites!

Freshen up inside with a full tub/shower combination or use the fully enclosed outdoor shower just outside the front door!

Enjoy the large outdoor patio surrounded by a huge flat yard that provides privacy and natural beauty, as well as a safe play space. A charcoal grill, table & chairs and 2 hammocks pretty much guarantee you’ll be relaxing! Around the house are many gardens to enjoy, game areas, and some secluded seating if you just need to have some alone time.

Walk, drive or bring your bike to access any of the nearby beaches—you’ll want to be sure to stay and see the sunset!

    Sandy Pines

This is such a pleasant, quiet spot that feels secluded but is close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Having a cute patio with the ability to enjoy the grill and dine outside made my family very happy. Tina, the owner, is so very helpful and respectful. She responds to any inquiries promptly. Don't miss out on this spot. It will give vacationers an authentic Cape Cod experience.

This was the best Cape Cod vacation. We were sad to see it end. Can't wait to come back next year! "I can't stop looking at the house, because I am going to miss it so much" from Emmet, 7 yrs old.

    Perfect Cape getaway

We couldn't have had a better week on the Cape. Sandy Pines really is the quintessential Cape home, down a dirt road, in an adorable neighborhood. Tina, the owner, is extremely nice and was very helpful through everything. This trip was planned during a pandemic and all! The house is clean, open, and space for everyone like described. The yard is huge, and roasted smore's over fire pit. We had fun riding bikes to Thumpertown, and to National Seashore, or the rail trail. Check out Sam's deli, Arnold's, fairway and Ben and Jerry's for yummy food. Eastham is amazing. We would love to come to back! show more show less

We enjoyed our stay at Sandy Pines! Sandy Pines had such a "homey feel" to it and our kids quickly adjusted to staying at this beach home. We enjoyed lots of walks to the beach and beautiful sunsets. Our kids really loved using the outdoor shower everyday when came back from the beach! Tina was so flexible especially during this Covid craziness, which we greatly appreciated!

Great place! Hard wood floors throughout, well-laid out and equipped kitchen, relaxing living room and comfortable beds. Nice place to take walks, and you can walk to the beach as well as some very good eateries. You will enjoy coming here!

I was rushing from work to get down to this rental that a friend had recommended last year. It was a great ride down, little traffic and beautiful trees turning blazing colors. It was also super easy to find, as the owner had provided concise directions.

When I arrived, my friend had already settled in. I found her on the hammock sipping on a lemonade. I walked in and was so pleasantly surprised at the pleasant atmosphere that greeted me. The house is so efficiently and beautifully laid out. Every time I turned around there were so many whimsical things to enjoy. Bedrooms were very
very comfortable (try the one with "the special window"). But my favorite room was the sun room, just exquisite!

I'm a new rental owner...thank you for your inteest.

For many years my husband was in a band that played all over New England during the summer and our weekends were spent in the road in some sort of camper... but I always got a week at Cape Cod…in a cottage, during a hurricane, in a parking lot... until we finally we found a campground in Eastham and for the better part of 20 years we spent a week or so there, with lots of happy memories. As our kids grew and had families of their own, I loved that everyone still wanted to go camping with us but realistically it"s asking a lot for grown children and their parents to coexist peacefully for days at a time.. Picture 6 adults, a baby, at least one dog, in a narrow hallway with beds lining the sides and the windows closed to keep out the rain…in summer….someone"s crying….someone"s cranky….you get the picture. Not fun

To sum it up, I took it upon myself to find an affordable house that would be fun and vibrant but still afford each member his/her space. What I found was a diamond in the rough that has proven priceless! After 18 months of hard work, we are able to welcome you to our Cape Getaway. When you stay here, you'll have an opportunity to read our entire renovation story!

What is special about this property?
The layout of both the house and the land make it possible for everyone or every interest to have space. The front patio is big enough for a harvest table w/chairs and also for the kids to play yard games. Nearby is a hammock, under the pines, and sooooo relaxing. A bit farther out is the firepit, surrounded by casual seats.

Walk around the house and there is a ''nook'' with a cinder block succulent garden and space for a chair or two. Continue around the outside of the sunroom and you have another nook, with a newly planted flower garden. Then down the side of the house is room for cornhole, horseshoe, badminton, bocce...you name it!

Inside the sunroom has a separate outside entrance AND a door to the kitchen/living room that can be closed for privacy. The Bunk Bay and North Cove bedrooms are in their own wing with another door separating them from the living area.

What is special about your town?
Eastham is community! There are always activities for children and adults; pick up an activity kit for the kids at the local library. While you're at it visit some of the unique craft and thrift shops. In addition to several Bay beaches and the Ocean beaches, we have fresh water lakes & ponds for a different experience.

The weekends seem to bring something new every time! Art shows, craft fairs, parades, fireworks, lectures, tours...there's no end to the activities within a few square miles.

And...let's face it....nothing beats sunset on the beach!
