    Captain's Way is a TREASURE

What a gem! Clean, modern, A/C, but the best part is the screened in porch! This is the spot to relax and enjoy family time!

Quiet Location, Close to Bayside Beach, Clean Home

We had a wonderful time away with our family at this lovely cottage that had everything we needed for the week. It was so clean and well kept, and the air conditioning was a plus on hot days. The porch was lovely for dinners outside, and the neighbors were very friendly on our walks to and from Thumpertown beach. It's in a great location that is close to everything Eastham and outer Cape. We brought bikes too which helped! We hope to be back soon! Thank you!

Classic Mid-Century Cape Cottage - perfect base for a great time

For nearly 30 years we have stayed in the cottage next door on Captains Way. This year, because of COVID-19 pre-cautions, we were not able to stay there, so we were thrilled to find Ted's place available. The house is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen are very clean. We spent most of our time in the screen porch, enjoyed a fire using the safe bonfire pit and luxuriated in the basic outdoor shower. Recent updates and renovations are seamlessly integrated. We love the mid-century vibe! show more show less

    Lovely, quiet, clean, and comfortable!

We had a wonderful time and look forward to renting again! The interior of the home is nicely cool and clean. The screened-in porch means no bugs and sitting "outside" even when the weather is a bit cloudy or drizzly. The flat yard is great for the dog and kids; we also appreciated the hammock! (We happened to bring our own, so having two was great!) Thumpertown Beach is a pleasant walk away, and the National Seashore is an easy drive.

    Awesome private house and location

The house had fantastic climate control in the house. There was plenty of space inside. The screened-in porch was the kicker. We used it so much more than we thought. A great bug-free space to have dinner or take-out. The birds singing in the early morning on the porch with a coffee was bonus for sure. We will return next summer.

    Clean Cottage in Great Location

We stayed in this adorable cottage in July. It was clean and cozy. The were plenty of cabinet space left open for us to store everything. Our kids (6 & 3) loved the trundle beds. The couches and beds are comfortable. We rode our bikes to Wiley, Thumpertown and First Encounter. The road is dirt and very quiet. This was prefect for the kids riding their bikes. The AC units cooled the house in minutes on a hot day. The W/D unit is new and did a great job. At night we spent most of the time on the screened-in porch and enjoying the fire pit. We enjoyed working with Ted. He checked in to make sure we were having a great stay. Our kids cried when it was time to go! show more show less

    Wonderful week

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this house in Eastham reminiscent of classic Cape Cod. The house was clean, well appointed, very nicely furnished, and very peaceful and private. The accessibility to Thumpertown Beach was a highlight—we loved riding our bikes to it in the morning and to catch the sunsets. The beach itself is beautiful and a great place to spend an afternoon. The house is so comfortable—we particularly loved the living room and the screened-in porch, a great place to enjoy dinners before gathering around the fire pit out back for s'mores. The location is great—quick rides up 6A to Wellfleet Harbor and Truro or to Orleans, Brewster or Chatham. Lots of great places to dine nearby—Arnold's and the Beachcomber are two of our faves. And the famed Wellfleet Drive-In is a short drive away as well. The beds were super-comfortable and the washer/dryer and A/C were brand new and worked great. Brand-new hardwood floors throughout. We would definitely stay there again. show more show less

    Perfect Quiet Setting!

My mom and I stayed for a weekend: Thursday-Sunday. The cottage looked recently updated and is very clean. Sits on a spacious lot surrounded by trees, lots of privacy. Centrally located but far enough off Route 6 that you don't hear traffic. Our dogs loved the big yard. Spacious living room and bedrooms.

    Would stay again!

    Great Time!

House was wonderful! Everything you need is there and so much to do within a few minutes. We have been coming to Eastham for years but this was our favorite house. The privacy and home style was perfect. Close to our favorite beaches! Sorry to have to leave. Ted also was quick to respond to any questions we had! Thanks Ted

    Great Spot!

We have been going to Eastham every summer for thirty years and this is the nicest place we have stayed. It is very clean and well stocked. The air conditioners were a big plus. The porch was a favorite spot. The beds are very comfortable. It did not have the mustiness that many other cottages have. Ted was a great communicator and very helpful. I highly recommend it.

I have been vacationing on the Cape my entire life, have spent summers, and worked for two local businesses as an adult. I worked as a location scout for a local movie production in 1996 so I have been to almost every corner of the Cape. Eastham is special for the access to the beaches, both bay and ocean, the rail trail and the peace and quiet of the bayside neighborhoods.

I know the Cape very well, and love it too. Call me for any ideas or suggestions for rainy day activities. Two ideas are bowling in Orleans, or the Whydah Pirate Museum in West Yarmouth!

What is special about this property?
Great bang for the buck, close to all of the best the Cape has to offer such as both the ocean and bay beaches, a freshwater pond, the rail trail, the drive-in movie theater in Wellfleet, Arnolds Clam Shack, the Red Barn for subs and pizza, mini golf. Perfect for families

What is special about your town?
Eastham is a peaceful and historic town with spectacular beaches. Eastham is also the location of the Whydah Pirate Ship shipwreck
