Beautiful Cape House by the Bike Trail and National Seashore

We just returned from a wonderful week in this great house. It had everything we needed, lots of room and was so close to the beaches!
Looking forward to next year!

This was the perfect spot for our Cape vacation. Eastham's bay beaches and the National Seashore are only minutes away. We were able to make dinner and easily catch sunsets on the bay. Shopping, restaurants and mini-golfing are all nearby and easy to get to.

The house was very comfortable and has lots of space for being together or finding a quiet spot when we needed a little time apart. Everything was clean and we had all the supplies we needed for cooking meals. The back deck is very large and a great spot for morning coffee or evening drinks. The neighborhood is very quiet and we loved watching the flock of wild turkeys wander through.

Denny & Lisa are great hosts and are genuinely concerned their guests have a great experience.

Denny and Lisa's Eastham home was perfect for our post-COVID family vacation in July. The house provided plenty of space for both the adults and teens. We loved the open first floor space where we could all (up to 9) gather at the table for dinner or in the living room for TV and conversation.

The breezeway room and loft were great spaces for the kids to go off and read, watch TV or a video and the ping pong table in the basement got plenty of use. We enjoyed the new deck and outdoor shower--a must-have for our family when on the Cape.

The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. While we brought our own linens, bed linens and towels were available if we chose to use and launder them. When we had a question about operating the TV, Denny responded to my email within minutes.

The location of the house allowed us to avoid Rt. 6 when going to local beaches, shops and restaurants and to easily get to a traffic light to access Rt. 6 in either direction when necessary. The only challenge we encountered was the long, narrow driveway that made juggling multiple cars a bit difficult, but we worked it out.

We had a great time and recommend Denny and Lisa's Eastham home for a family vacation!

We've been vacationing on the Cape for 25 years and we were saddened our usual rental in North Truro was sold this summer. While Denny & Lisa's house isn't on the beach, I loved it even more in a way because it's nestled in a quiet area and felt like a sanctuary (but still only a few mins drive to beaches and walking distance to Arnold's!). We can't wait to be back again.

My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at this property. It was extremely clean, and the rooms were a lot larger than they look in the pictures. We had 6 adults and 2 children and had plenty of space to be comfortable and separate when needed. The deck was nice to have family dinners, and having the grill was extremely helpful. Having the ping pong table in the basement was a lot of fun during evenings or rainy times. Denny was great with communication and very friendly. It was a pleasure staying in this house and working with them. We will definitely look at renting again in the future.

Denny and Lisa were wonderful to work with and so accommodating. We are so lucky to have had the chance to spend 2 months at this house while working from home. The location of the house is just perfect for our family. The easy access to all parts of the Cape by bike or by car was worth everything for us. Our kids (18 and 20) are city-kids who didn't learn how to drive. Being exactly 0.5 miles from the bike trail (and the famous Arnold's), 1 mile from Great Pond, 2 miles from Nauset Lighthouse beach, >2 miles from Coast Guard beach, 3 miles from First Encounter Beach, etc etc, well, you get the picture. The location is also perfect for planning for the longer rides like going to Chatham or to Wellfleet and back. The house has plenty of space for all of us to hang out together or to get some space from each other. My husband and I were both able to set up our work-from-home offices. (My outdoors office was the envy of all my colleagues.) Ping pong tournament at night in the basement was just the added bonus. We have been coming to the Cape and renting from weneedavacation.com for 18 years. This is definitely one of best locations we have rented. .

The house was great, layout couldn't be more perfect for our family. It was very open but yet enough privacy for our family which consisted of 3 generations. We loved the location, so close to our favorite beaches, no time wasted in the car driving.

Appreciated not having to bring linens, even though we didn't need extra towels knowing there were a few extra ones at the house was nice. The family room off the kitchen was a bonus for when the kids woke up early.

Looking forward to renting again next year.

Denny and Lisa were wonderful to work with! They were very responsive to my messages and dependable. The cottage was beautiful and immaculate. Everything that we could need was there to make it a memorable and fun vacation time. I am planning on going again with my family!

We very much enjoyed this property! The house was very comfortable for the seven of us with plenty of space to spread out and find a quiet nook if needed. The furniture and beds were comfortable and it was very convenient to have linens provided, especially for my family travelling here from Saskatoon! Everything was of high quality, so really a home away from home. The deck was lovely off the kitchen and my Mum spent many quiet hours there while the rest of us were at the beach. The owner was always quick to respond and so very pleasant to deal with – feel like we’ve made a new friend. I would definitely rent this cottage again if our numbers warrant a larger cottage.

We've vacationed on the Cape almost every year since 1974. This property was one of the nicest we've rented. Some houses advertised as "Four Bedrooms" have one decent size MB, but the other three are tiny. Not this one! Plenty of room for ourselves, our kids and grandkids as they "cycled thru", (sometimes on short notice!). Ideally located between ocean, bay, bike trails and shopping. Set back nicely on a quiet road. It's well-equipped for rainy days with kids games, videos, and Ping-Pong. Kitchen has just about everything a cook would need. Nice deck, gas grille, large table and chairs. Convenient outdoor shower, large washer & dryer in clean basement lavatory. Would highly recommend for a carefree family vacation!

Beautiful home located on a private road. We have 3 boys plus some friends and everyone felt comfortable. Plenty of space for a large family . The pool table in the basement was a hit for the boys .

The house was perfect for our family. There were seven of us and four bedrooms gave everybody a room, two youngsters shared a room and two couples each took a room with the fourth room for a single adult. There is a futon/couch in the upstairs sitting room which could also double as a bed if necessary. The house was well stocked with incidentals for the kitchen so we didn't have to go out and buy things like salt and pepper or dish soap. There were plenty of utensils for eating and cooking. There was a large dining room table inside where we could all sit.

There is a deck that was shaded and was a perfect place to sit in the afternoon after returning from the beach or bike trail. There is also a table where we eat most of our dinners. There are three distinct sitting areas so you can get away by yourself if you so desire. There are a number of movies and games available to watch/play. The window air conditioners did a good job keeping the house cool when needed. (Most of the time they were not needed, lot is shaded so it is relatively cool.)

The basement is clean and was a good place to keep the beach stuff and the bikes. Also has a ping pong table which the little ones enjoyed playing. Washer and drier in the basement was also convenient.

The location was great, close to the bike trail and Coast Guard Beach.

We would rent this house again.

This is one of three homes rented in Eastham for a family reunion. Property ID 24926 was perfect for our family group consisting of 2 grandparents, son, wife and 4 children ages 9-13 and one adult daughter. There was plenty of room for all of us. We loved the open concept that allowed everyone to be together, whether it was the kitchen, dining area, living room or deck off the dining area. There was lots of space to prepare and enjoy meals together, which was one of the features that attracted our attention. The kids loved having their own space upstairs (2 bedrooms, bath and loft). And who wouldn't like the great outdoor shower!

The location was perfect - near the ocean beaches and bike trail and within a couple of miles of First Encounter Beach on the bayside. There is so much to do in this location with the National Seashore trails, nearby Visitor Center with its myriad activities and Audubon sanctuary in Wellfleet. The whole family took advantage of what the Lower Cape has to offer.

The best part was communicating with the owner who always responded in a timely and friendly manner. He was also most helpful in answering questions as well as giving additional information as we sought to determine if this was the perfect house for us - which it was.

After a 20+ year hiatus, our family finally made it back to Eastham and this time with a larger family. The house was perfect for our 8 adults and one grandchild, giving everyone enough space and comfort throughout the week. The location was ideal for getting to the farther reaches of the Upper Cape beaches and Lower Cape towns. We found the house to be clean and neat.

We had a great time! If we are able to get everyone together again we would definitely plan to use this property again.

We rented this house very last minute and were so pleased to have found such a great property. It is a private lot in a very nice neighborhood close to everything! The owners were super nice, flexible and accommodating. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived, and everything was in working order. My kids loved having their own suite upstairs, each with their own bedroom and a common sitting area. The kitchen was well stocked, the outdoor shower a treat, and there was washer/dryer and ping pong in the basement. I definitely recommend this rental property and hope to stay there again myself soon!

My family has been renting at the Cape for over twenty years. This property is by far our favorite. The open floor plan provides a feeling of roominess not typical of other Capes. The setting is private, and the location is convenient to beaches, restaurants, stores, etc. The property owner was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We loved not having to lug our own linens and towels. The kitchen is also very well equipped with every utensil needed to make meals. We plan on returning next year!

The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We have stayed in Eastham many times, and found that this house was in a very convenient location. There was ample living space for three couples and one child with a living room, a loft and a breezeway where people could relax after a day out having fun. We used the grill for dinner one night and found it worked well. The basement ping pong table was also put to good use. The homeowner was very pleasant and easy to deal with. We enjoyed our week very much!!

Everything here was excellent. And the owner was very good at communicating with us before, during, and after our stay. The location is wonderful and the house is very well appointed. It was a total delight!

This home was more than enough space for our large family! We have 5 children (20-4 years old) and we never felt on top of each other. There was space for all! The deck is large, with a great bench for added seating and a great new grill. The location is perfect, close to everything we wanted to do on our vacation from the National Seashore beaches, a convenient drive to P'town, near plenty of restaurants and shopping, and of course, the Wellfleet Drive-Ins. In addition, this home was perfectly clean and we had no issues whatsoever during our stay! We are already looking forward to booking this home for our next Cape Cod vacation!

Clean and well equipped house with large rooms, perfect for a large family like ours. Relaxing patio and brand new BBQ to enjoy quiet evenings after the day at one of the beaches of the area. Taking a walk to Harold's for mini golf and delicious ice cream was also one favorite activity!! Eastham is a great location to enjoy Cape Cod!!

We were very pleased with the vacation house we rented. It was clean and well-maintained and well appointed with everything we needed during our stay. The house easily accommodated 7 adults and 2 children. It was centrally located within easy access to the ocean and bay beaches and the bike trail. We would definitely consider renting this house on our next visit to the Cape!

Loved this property!! Exceptionally clean, organized and had everything we needed!! I loved the separate sitting areas for our teenagers. The location was close to the beach and to the bike trail. We had a great week and would definitely rent in the future!!

We had a large group (5 tween/teens and 4 adults from 3 families), and this house fit us all! The kitchen was spacious and laid out so that multiple people could prepare food at the same time. The kids had the 2nd floor to themselves, and the loft area became a bonus living room for them. The breezeway off the kitchen (which had a TV, ceiling fan, table and chairs) was the base for board games. And then there was the ping pong table in the basement, which was convenient and fun. (The basement, by the way, was roomy enough to accommodate all of our many bicycles.)

The house was clean, with comfortable and tasteful furnishings. Denny and Lisa anticipated many of our needs, and provided everything from lots of extra pillows to a veggie steamer. The location was perfect, within easy biking distance to Arnold’s, the bike trail, and Coast Guard beach. And it was great to be able to bring our dogs!
