Our spacious, 3 bedroom, Cape-style house is located on a quiet, wooded lot on a side road in North Eastham. Two National Seashore Beaches, the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path, and the North Eastham village center are a short drive or bike ride away. We have been renting this house to vacationers every summer since 2001, and have had many repeat renters and favorable comments over the years.
The house plan is centered around a large, comfortably furnished living room with an adjacent dining area and galley-style kitchen. The dining table is located next to a bay window with a view of the bayberry bushes and other native vegetation in the front yard.
The kitchen connects to the back entryway with a washer and dryer. The entryway opens into a furnished patio with a gas grill and overlooking the wooded back yard.
There is a half-bath adjacent to the living room, and a master bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bath, with shower and tub, on the first floor. The second floor has two large bedrooms and a full bath with a shower and tub. The larger bedroom has a double bed, two twin beds, and a walk-in closet. The smaller bedroom has a double bed and a smaller walk-in closet. One of the two twin beds in the larger bedroom could be easily moved into the smaller bedroom if desired (we've done it with guests), but would need to be moved back into the larger bedroom at the end of the stay.
All three bedrooms have air conditioners, and the larger living room/dining room/galley kitchen area is comfortably cooled by a larger capacity air conditioner.
We also have a large, mostly unfurnished, walk-out basement which can be used to store bikes or hang towels up to dry.
Additional amenities include Cable TV, WiFi, a Blu-Ray Player, DVD/VCR, CD/Radio, and air conditioners in the living room and all three bedrooms. As we mentioned, we also have a washer and dryer, and a gas grill.
Feel free to call or e-mail with any questions about our property.
So, why do we like Eastham? We think it has the best beaches and best variety of beaches on the Cape. These include the two National Seashore beaches, including Nauset Light Beach, with its lighthouse and bluffs, and Coast Guard Beach, which has been ranked among the 10 best beaches in the United States. The town beaches on Cape Cod Bay have great sunsets, particularly during the low tide, which can expose up to a half mile of sand bars twice a day. If you were ambitious, you could watch the sunrise at Nauset Light Beach in the morning, and the sunset at First Encounter Beach in the evening, and not leave Eastham. The clean fresh water beaches at Great Pond are also lots of fun, and Nauset Marsh is a great place for kayaking. read more show less
