Every year we look forward to a week here. The house is roomy, comfortable, well appointed and very clean. I can't say enough about the owners, Fred and Margaret. I have contacted them with simple questions while there. Their quick response lets me know that if there were ever a real problem to arise that they would be available. The property is situated just minutes from the some of our favorite Cape Cod beaches. The property is relaxing and is only moments away from some great coffee shops, ice cream and restaurants. A 15 minute drive brings you to Rt 28 where you can find anything to keep a family entertained in any kind of weather.

Our three generation family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Scargo Hill. The owners were exceptionally helpful in providing all the information we needed in advance to prepare for a carefree vacation. The house is nicely appointed with all the things any family would need for their Cape Cod vacation. I especially enjoyed the backyard patio and gardens.

Our family of 4 has vacationed in Dennis for many years so we were thrilled to find this beautiful, clean and spacious home for our annual visit. It had all necessary amenities, beautiful outdoor space, perfect location, and owners who were receptive to issues and helpful beyond expectation. We enjoyed a comfortable stay in this home and would highly recommend it to others.

This Dennis Village home is the perfect place to spend your Cape Cod vacation. Our family has rented here multiple summers, and the location is wonderful for enjoying all the Cape has to offer. The home is spacious, clean and well stocked with extras like beach gear, plenty of cookware and utensils, outdoor shower, central air, laundry and an extra fridge in the lower level. Our family of 6 adults (parents and adult children) is very comfortable sharing this home for the week. The key code on the door makes it very convenient for all of us to come and go without worrying about keys. The deck has areas of shade and sun, and we spent both mornings and evenings there. Internet and cable TV work well. Close to family friendly Mayflower and Corporation beaches. We love walking Chapin beach at low tide! Dennis Public Market is down the street. Great deli for sandwiches and meat counter to grab some meat for the grill. We love Scargo Cafe, and don't miss Gina's by the Sea! Chapins is great for families. Smugglers Ice cream is popular but make the trip across to Dennisport for Sundae School which is the best in our opinion.
The owners, Margaret and Fred, are responsive to texts and emails. Booking the home was seamless and easy.

My family and I stayed here for a week last August. House was clean and very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked and had lots of room to cook. Laundry area on same level as main floor was very handy (no walking up and down from the basement on my vacation!).The homeowner, Margaret, was very easy to talk to and responsive. Deck and outdoor shower were nice and gas grill came in handy quite a bit.

Dennis is usually our choice on the Cape as its location is second to none. This particular property afforded us the luxury of being close to the bayside beaches which are awesome for kids and sunsets. We were minutes away from other attractions like Scargo tower (literally a 2 minute drive), playhouse, Captain Frosty's, etc.

All in all, this was a great rental and a house I'd definitely check out next time we make our way to the Cape.

Sorry that I did not answer earlier. Wonderful place. Wonderful time. My kids loved the house and so did we. Perfect distance from our favorite Mayflower Beach. Clean and homey. We really enjoyed it. Overall A+.

Rented this home for 2 weeks in July, and it was amazing. Everything you could possibly want and more! The owners were amazing to deal with, and everything about the house exceeded our expectations. Spacious, bright and very well equipped. I would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to friends and family. This is a beautiful Cape Cod home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. The accommodations were amazing with central a/c, 3 spacious bedrooms including a master bedroom with private bath. The best part was the property was equal distance between our two favorite north side beaches of Mayflower and Sea Street. In case you wanted a late fresh water swim in the evening, Princess Beach and Scargo Lake are a short walk away from this beautiful property. The kitchen, living room and family room were nothing short of amazing. A large family size leather reclining sofa with wide screen TV and surround sound was a huge hit for the kids. I would definitely recommend this property to others wishing to relax and have everything you need for a carefree vacation on the Cape. A++ in my book.

The home was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. It is very convenient to beaches, restaurants, golf, etc. It is in a quiet area. We really appreciated that linens were supplied, and there were beach chairs for use. We would definitely rent this house again.

We spent our first week of vacation in this lovely home. We found it to be very comfortable and extremely pretty. Our sons and grandchildren accompanied us, and the teenagers found plenty of room to play their games and watch their TV programs while we could retreat to the loveliest of master bedrooms to escape! We spent evenings out on the lovely patio and enjoyed many breakfasts there as well. The kitchen was fantastic. We lacked for nothing. The location was in the middle of our favorite part of Cape Cod where we have vacationed for 40 years, beautiful Sesuit Harbor and Quivet Neck. We would love to return soon.

We enjoyed this property so much during our visit last year that we decided to rent the home again this June. The weather was wonderful and sitting out on the deck was relaxing as well as enjoying the view from the large windows in the living room.

The media room has all new leather couches with end-seat recliners, so this is a perfect end to a busy day on the Cape. The house contains all the conveniences that you would find in your own home with a fully-stocked kitchen. A big plus is having A/C available and linens/towels, both of which are not typically found in Cape rentals.

The owners are very nice to deal with and always answer any questions promptly. We enjoy the lovely flowers/garden. The house is close to all that Dennis has to offer--Dennis village, Grumpy's, saltwater beaches, The Marshside, and other activities and attractions.

We definitely would recommend staying at the home.

We loved spending our vacation at this home. The pictures and descriptions were exactly what we found when we arrived. The extra refrigerator on the entry level was so greatly appreciated. There were many board games that we used to have fun. We dined several times on the patio hoping to get another glimpse of the family of turkeys! So close to the beaches that we wanted to go to. We loved the tide clock. It helped us to know when we wanted to go to the beach. There were no issues with this home. The owners were only a phone call or email away for any questions. We would not hesitate to rent this home when we get a chance to return to the Cape.

Wow. What a week! We are so glad we chose this property. The house is beautiful and we really enjoyed the town. We had no problems with the house (aside from figuring out which light switches turned on which light). Everything was super easy.

We loved the kitchen. It has everything you need.

My six year old daughter, Avery, really appreciated the beach boards. We went to Corporation Beach on our second day but once we found Mayflower Beach that became her favorite. The outdoor shower was very helpful after a long day in the sand. The tidal clock in the dining room became our friend. On two different nights we left for Mayflower when the tide was out and just let her run. She loved that.
It was a working vacation for me so the wireless internet was key. Staying in touch with my work email proved to be very helpful.

We arrived at this home late after delayed plane travel and other issues. As soon as we entered the home, our exhaustion disappeared. Every room is nicely appointed and is very cheerful with typical Cape Cod décor. The kitchen has every tool possible to make cooking easy (if that's what you're going to do). We were not going to cook anything, but once we saw the kitchen and the wonderful backyard deck, we made two dinners "at home." The backyard is quite private with large trees. However, it is nice that this property is not "remote" or in the middle of nowhere.

The master bedroom is wonderful with lots of windows and a view towards Cape Cod Bay. On the upstairs level, you have views of the tops of trees. All bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable. If you like games, this is the place...there are all types of board and card games around the house for entertaining and amusement on a rainy day.

Beaches and restaurants are close by with a wide variety of choices. The owners have provided beach chairs and towels, certainly a plus. This is one of the few rental properties we had on the Cape that supplied linens AND did not request that we wash them, because they have a linen service. This was unusual in our experience and greatly appreciated.

The house is good for families because it is large, but was fine for the two of us and our daytime adult guests. If you are a "techie," you will love the TVs and sound system, and WIFI.

Another plus is communication with the owners, who are prompt in answering your questions and accommodating.

Bottom line is that if you want an incentive to go out of the house everyday, explore the Cape and just come home to sleep, you should stay in a small cottage because you'll never want to leave this home with its New England charm and many amenities!! :-)

We stayed in this house for 10 ten days in August and through Labor day this year 2012. Our family of four has been going to the Cape for years, and this, by far, was the nicest house we have rented. Very spacious rooms, large clean bathrooms, and the showers actually worked great, no shower head trickle flow! Kitchen has anything you could possibly need to cook. WIFI worked flawlessly, that's a big deal with kids, you know. House was very clean, comfortable, located on a very quiet street, nice deck with a grill out back, perfect for a relaxing evening outside. Even got to see wild turkeys, red fox, and an opossum in the back yard! Central A/C worked great. Located right across street from Scargo Tower, which is one of the best places on the Cape to watch a sunset, just get there early, oh wait, you can just walk across the street! You can walk to Scargo Lake in about 5 minutes or walk to ocean in about 20 minutes. Also located about a half mile from DPM (Dennis Public Market) which is the best little market in the world. They have everything you could possibly need, from freshly made prepared foods, to any groceries you could want, beer and wine as well. Grumpy's Restaurant is about a 1/2 mile the other way, great place for a quick breakfast, and I mean quick, fastest service we have ever received anywhere, and great food. Captain Frosty's is really close as well, great fried or baked fresh seafood, best frappes on the Cape. Best coffee and muffins on the Cape are at The Underground, also about a 1/2 mile from house. Great area to go for a walk, my wife and I walked about 8 miles every morning and evening.

All in all, we have stayed all over the Cape, from the Canal to Provincetown, and we always end up back in Dennis. It's a great place to stay, right in the middle, makes it a short drive to anywhere you may want to go that day.

We will be renting this house again next year, that is, if I don't buy a house in this area before then!!

"House was pristine. Bedrooms were good size. Plenty of space for everyone. There were six of us women (Me, my sister and sister in law and 3 adult nieces). The outside shower was a blessing. Loved the fact that the kitchen was well stocked. Dishes, pots and pans and appliances in abundance from coffee pot to waffle maker. Washer and dryer was a real bonus. (Last year we spent 3 hours at a laundromat.) Can't say anything bad - nothing but praise.
