We were scheduled to be in Falmouth for our son's evening "Twilight" Cross Country meet in October. Considering it would be a late night we were hoping to spend the evening on the Cape. So we reached out to John with the hope of staying in both of his properties which were just about at the beginning stages of being remodeled.

Since we provide cabinetry for John & Co. this would be the perfect way to incorporate measuring the kitchens in each unit and having a place to stay.

Well, we got lucky and our timing was just right. John agreed to put us up for the weekend! He couldn't have been more accommodating too, even on this whim! The units were clean, towels were provided, there were plenty of utensils in the kitchen, and we were able to relax even while running around, back and forth to Falmouth for the event.

Well, it's hard not to relax at this property in Dennis! It is perfectly set in the dunes, right on the beach, and so peaceful in every way, including the proximity to amenities when needed.

John kept saying to us "you gotta get up there early, get settled and enjoy the sunset before you go back to Falmouth for the race". He kept talking about the sunset at Bayview. So we took it to heart..

We got to the properties in the afternoon with plenty of time to get settled. There was more than enough room for our family of four in Unit 49 where we stayed. So we spread out and made ourselves at home. Our two boys bunked up in their room and my wife and I had our own space so that worked out great for all of us.

John recommended Dennis Public Market for sandwiches, so we went and got those before the sunset. Wow! They were hand made and delicious. The market had prepared meats and fish and everything you need for a home cooked meal so we grabbed salmon, chicken and sausage to feed the crew the next day.

Get back for the sunset, get back! And we did. Sandwiches on the beach and the most amazing sunset. Looking down the beach with awestruck people, just in that moment, it felt so great to be there. And then you guessed it..back in the car to get to Falmouth, a family on the go. I had to pull my wife off the beach and into the car. She could have stayed there all night! It was like a dream there.

Well we made it back late that night and the family got a chance to wake up on the beach, with the sun surrounding our unit and time on our side to soak it all in together.
The boys were craving smoothies so we headed to Ring Bros. Marketplace where you gotta go when you stay here if you like smoothies and açaí bowls. Get back to the beach!

After a walk on the beach, throwing the football around with my sons, we were then back to the unit for lunch on the grill! These units have a shared privacy that is unexplainable. It's very special. So enjoying our time outside on the patio was easy and so relaxing. I don't know if I'm painting a picture with words but it's in my head and I want to be there in shorts with a cocktail in hand!

I just want to say thank you to John for this special weekend. While the places were so pleasant when we stayed there they are going to be so perfect when he's done with the remodeling and recreated areas he'll make so special.

John has vision for construction, the mind for what guests need and want, and the heart of a family man which all means he cares and will help make your unique stay perfect.

We arrived Friday in the late afternoon for a long holiday girls weekend getaway. Unseasonably warm for October (to our delight) this Dennis Cape cod Cottage just 50 feet from waters edge was a perfect spot for stealing a last bit of summer fun.
Snuggled amongst a gorgeous fencing of sand dunes as we enjoyed sitting out on the deck soaking up the warm sunshine.
Inside the cottage was spacious and inviting with vaulted ceilings & sky lights.
In the day time we shopped at antique and thrift stores near by or road bikes on beautiful bike paths. In the evening we dinned at several of the wonderful restaurants in the area. What a magical summer spot!
