Family Getaway

Absolutely beautiful setting. Location was perfect for kayaking which my family took total advantage.
Corn hole was provided which led to some exciting family competitions. House was comfortable, particularly liked the screened in porch. Most nights my son built a fire in the fire pit and we also barbecued. Sophie, our dog who accompanied us, also enjoyed her vacation in West Dennis. Location was convenient, a short car ride away from the beach, super market, coffee shop, bakery etc. would definitely consider staying here again.

Wonderful home with a great
location for our girls getaway.
Plenty of seating and loved the outdoor shower! Owner very prompt responses to our questions and able to walk to local beach. Definitely would want to stay again!

Best House Ever!
Property was fantastic and as advertised. Despite a not so great beach week, the location of the house and the amenities made it an amazing week. Far and away the best house we have ever rented on the Cape.

We rented this home for a month while ours was being renovated. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. The view all day of the Swan River is so peaceful.
This home is so comfortable and cozy and has everything you need for a great vacation.
The deck and fire pit are perfect for a night on the river. There's also a three season porch that looks our over the water with plenty of furniture and every game you can think of! This is a great family vacation spot!

Great find!
This was a last-minute vacation for us. Kerri (the owner) was very responsive to our questions. The home was just as advertised well equipped and right on the Swan River salt-marsh with easy kayak and paddleboard access. Discovering West Dennis Beach was great – easy parking (with non-resident pass) and short walk to the water. We had a great time.

Absolutely beautiful!
After a very stressful week at home, coming to this home situated right on Swan River was the break from reality that we needed! The home is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. There was more than enough room for our family of 7 to spread out and not feel crowded. The back deck was our favorite place to have a cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the beautiful view of the Swan River. My youngest had a blast identifying the many types of birds we saw -thanks to the coffee table book with pictures and facts about all of the birds on Cape Cod! My sons brought their fishing poles and nets, and caught more crabs than ever! Thank you for the use of the kayaks and paddle board -what a great addition to our vacation to be able to kayak down the river to the beach. The fire pit was a fun evening activity after a long day at the beach, and we discovered a few new games that we had never played before- I am the family champion of Skittle-Scatter! :) And the outdoor shower… the kids never complained about having to take a shower once! We also appreciate your home being dog friendly- we were so relieved to be able to bring our 13+ year old Jack Russell Terrier on this year's family vacation- now that he's getting on in years he doesn't like to be boarded- so thank you for that memory as well. We brought our bikes and spent one day biking the rail trail to Chatham for lunch and back- it is so close to the house. Actually there isn't much that you have to travel far for, there are some great restaurants, ice cream, and shopping all right around the corner. We took pizza to Mayflower beach to watch the sunset as was suggested in the "house book" and it did not disappoint! The host of this property has really taken a lot of time and effort to put this book together and it covers EVERYTHING! Communication with the host is fabulous! She and her husband bent over backward to help us retrieve an item I left behind. I would HIGHLY recommend this property for your Cape Cod getaway!

We loved this place on the Swan River. It was great for our family of five and pips! My kids enjoyed being able to use the kayaks and it was super clean and comfortable.

This was just a wonderful place! It was comfortable, well-furnished with everything we needed and then some. We were 4 adults, but families with children would find everything they need, too. The location is wonderful - we really enjoyed being right on the Swan River and access for the kayaks was so easy. We particularly enjoyed hanging out on the deck, just watching the tide change. The place was really clean and Kerri was responsive and helpful when we were making our plans. We didn't need her while we were there, but I am confident that responsiveness would have continued. We loved the convenience to local restaurants, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, beautiful beaches, and especially liked that despite the easy access to each of those, the house was quiet and peaceful. We would love to return another year and highly recommend this lovely home.
