Cottage on Swan River with Incredible Views and Kayak Dock

I loved loved this house..the view from every room just about was the beautiful Swan River, which was very close to the mouth of the river into the ocean. The walk to the beach was a few blocks and extremely enjoyable every morning. The house itself had everything that I needed, including a kayaks and games. I loved the premises and the ease of it and I didn't have one issue at all. I thought the road noise would be an issue but it never was, possibly as it was after Labor Day. It was an awesome and fun find and I hope to stay there again. Also Nancy was great to work with and always very helpful and did everything she said she would. We have been vacationing on Cape cod for over 10 years. This vacation home was just lovely. Morning spent on the back patio overlooking the river. Afternoons spent at South village Beach with my family were great. I would recommend this vacation home for anyone traveling to Cape cod. And Nancy was great to work with!

We've already booked this property again for next summer because we wanted to be sure to get back there again! It was the perfect Cape Cod cottage experience. We were welcomed with a goody basket and a bottle of local wine. It was clean and comfortable with easy to access information. The water view was a must for me and we all enjoyed watching the sea birds and crabs at low tide. We walked across the street for a delicious dinner at the Swan River Restaurant and bought muscles to cook anther night back at the cottage. We loved our morning walks to the nearby beach and next summer may join the beach yoga! show more show less

This lovely quaint cottage on the Swan River was a fabulous place for our family vacation. We enjoyed every minute. The views of the water from the back deck were beautiful. My sons enjoyed kayaking down to the beach. It's just a short walk to South Village Beach, one of our favorite spots on Cape Cod. It was the best week I've had on the Cape and I have been going every summer since my childhood. It was such a perfect vacation spot, it was hard to leave it behind. We stayed here last year with our two girls (at the time age 3 and 5) and loved how restful this place is. It is literally above the water when the tide comes in. The view and sunsets, watching the crabs and wildlife, kayaking to the beach from our dock were our favorite parts. The cottage is well appointed and clean. It is rustic and full of charm - a storm came through it it was quite the experience above the water! We enjoyed the outdoor shower as well. It's close to fun activities as well. Best vacation we've had in a long time!!

My wife and I have stayed on the Cape in at least 8 different locations and this cottage is by far the best Cape Cod experience. Other's have been landlocked, but this home is truly on the water and has a fantastic nature connection ambiance. You get to view the tides and wildlife right out the windows of every room, see the sunrise and sunset. How much better can it get.

We love the location as it gives us easier access to either direction on the Cape.

We were worried about noise being so close to the road but that turned out to be a non-issue and I'm a light sleeper. The traffic noise was barely noticeable, white noise more than anything.

Across the street is a great family restaurant PLUS a fresh fish store which we used several times during the week. We HIGHLY recommend the stuffed scallops, excellent with a nice glass of white wine.

This was a lovely weekend spot. Close to shore for beach walks, great location for exploring Harwich, Chatham and Orleans.

Very quaint with cute quirks but good warm modern heating via mini splits. A great friend getaway. Bathroom is small, and low door frames so if you or family are tall just realize that.

Lovely having morning tea watching the birds on the river.

My family enjoyed this wonderful piece of property that Nina Wolff designed in the 50s - so grateful that her creativity has been preserved.

The rooms were more spacious than we anticipated and every nook and cranny has been perfectly designed. We loved the views of the river and the wildlife that meandered about, we even saw a seal one morning.

The cottage has everything readily available and was clean and clear of clutter.

Simplicity at its best!!
Can't wait to return.
