This is our second year staying here and it was another fabulous year. Alex, the owner, had great communication throughout the process. The house was perfect for my family of 3 adults and 2 kids. Easy drive to Forest St. beach that has free parking or an easy walk if you'd like. The house has plenty of space to relax or enjoy a meal. Being so close to 28 is perfect for exploring, but the yard has so many trees and landscaping you feel like you're off on your own. Central air is a must have for us and this property recently updated.

This is the perfect cape getaway!

My family and I had the best stay at Melanie and Alex's beautiful home in South Chatham, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. If you're looking for the perfect, classic week down the cape, this is the place!

The location couldn't be better - it was quick 10-minute walk to the beach, which was convenient and great to not have to worry about parking

The house itself is a gem, it just has that classic Cape Code feel. From the moment we stepped inside, we noticed how clean and well-maintained it was. The home is thoughtfully furnished with cozy, stylish décor that makes it feel like a home away from home.

The location of the house itself was great - a quick drive to either downtown Chatham or Harwich Port.

Overall, this South Chatham Cape house is a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and location. I would highly recommend it to anyone - we can't wait to return!

We just returned from a reunion on the Cape. Five of us enjoyed the perfect location and very comfortable home. Everything we needed was in the house, the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes we needed to host a large family reunion one night. The outdoor shower was perfect after the beach and the AC was terrific. There was adequate parking in the front and back of the house and it was walking distance to a new restaurant/bar and Forest Beach. Honestly, it was Perfect for us and you will not find a better landlord!!

Great location - seconds from Route 28 but still quiet. Less than 10 min walk to Forrest Beach and about a 2 minute walk to the South Chatham library.

We lived on the porch most of the time that we were there:). Open floor plan made it easy to hangout. We had a tornado warning (there's a basement if needed - but we didn't) and Alex texted early the next morning to check in.

Have already recommended, and will rent again.

This was a perfect vacation spot! Alex was really prompt with communications and we appreciated his honesty answering all of our questions about potential noise (there was none!) and safety for our teen biking alone (it was ideal). He also had great suggestions and tips for the area. The house is well located, close to the bike trail, Chatham village, a major grocery store up the road, and a great local beach that was perfect for a quick dip or sunset walk.

The house itself is spacious, modern, and clean, with a fabulous screened-in porch that we really enjoyed and spent most evenings relaxing in, without having to worry about mosquitoes. The dining and living areas were airy and had plenty of room for lounging and for working from "home." It was great to have several options for where to set up our laptops (dining room table, porch, living room) and the wifi was strong throughout the house, which really helped.

The outdoor shower was fantastic, and we appreciated the mini bike rack in the yard and the hammock. The yard was gorgeous and well-shaded. It's really the perfect house if you just want to hang around! The nearby homes and streets are lovely and quiet for walking, and our teen enjoyed having access to the bike trail, as well as being in walking distance to a great ice cream shop. You never know what you'll get with a vacation rental and this exceeded our expectations.

This is the perfect Cape summer rental. All the amenities we could possibly need for our family of 4. Good sized bedrooms (and beds!), functional kitchen, grill, and dining area. The screned porch is ideal for enjoying the outdoor bug free for at night or a cup of coffee in the am. Great location close to plenty of beaches, food, stores in Chatham or Harwichport. The owner is very attentive and quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

We had a wonderful time at this cottage for our family vacation this July. We have visited the Cape 3 summers in a row now & just love it!

This cottage was very equipped, great location, central to Harwich & Chatham for our day trips! We loved being so close to the bike path to explore the Cape!

We travelled with our 2 girls, ages 10 & 8..it was great that they both had their own bedroom & bathroom to share. I loved having the laundry on site. The kitchen was well equipped & the sun room was a treat.

Alex was a pleasure to deal with through the whole process of booking & information.

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks at this home. in Chatham. This cottage is convenient to anything you need - the beach and Main Street. We have rented many times from private owner, but this owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This cottage has everything you need and while we in a convenient location, you feel like you are in a secluded hideaway.

This property was just as described...spacious, and clean and soooo convenient to town. The owner is very personable and helpful..everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is there..beds are comfortable, two bathrooms a plus. Large screened in porch,lovely! Open floor plan makes it very inviting. A quiet location, close to the beach (walkable if you desire), and free parking. Perfect. Great restaurants not too far away..if you go, I know you'll enjoy your stay!!

I stayed here with my family on 3 occasions: June of 2011, June of 2012 and Sept. of 2013 - definitely looking forward to my stay this year.

The home exceeded our expectations and our needs, and the homeowner was easy to work with and he fully and quickly answered any questions that we had. It is in such a great part of the Cape where you are close to everything and yet still have that "away"' feeling. I haven't stayed at a better rental on the Cape, and I've stayed at a lot. Once you get to this home, it is so comfortable, and the screened porch is the best.

We had the pleasure of staying in this quiet home a week in June 2012. The owner was accommodating from the first telephone call and has certainly put forth a lot of effort in making the property a home away from home. The screened in porch is shaded and a great spot for reading, a quick nap, or dinner. We also enjoyed the closest beach (Forest), which was never crowded and has free parking (or is a pleasant walk). Chatham and Harwich are both beautiful; we had a wonderful stay!

We found the house to be all it was advertised to be! The homeowner was very personable (even though all our communication was via the Internet). There were many helpful touches - like the binder of information on being a guest and things to do and places to eat, extra pillows, detergent for the washer, etc. The screened in porch was delightful - morning,noon and evening. The beach was a bit of walk - it was more convenient to drive with the chairs and beach paraphernalia but that wasn't a problem because we were always able to get a parking spot and there's no cost to park. Everyone was friendly. Fuel stations, a church, and the supermarket weren't too far away and shopping in Chatham was just down the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We hope to be able to do it again next year. Thank you Alex!
