3 Bedroom Chatham Cottage - Easy walk to Harding Beach!

We have missed staying here but we're lucky enough to book this year. Our stay at the house was wonderful and the added amenities were a delight. There is ac in two rooms which actually cooled the entire house. The smart tv allowed us to stream our favorite movies for family evenings when it was rainy. The porch and back yard are a great place to eat together, play games or just chat. We were all adults (19 and older…3 generations) and had plenty of room. You can easily walk to Hardings Beach for an early morning walk on the beach or to spend the day. We will be back again next year. My family of 5 has been renting houses in Chatham for 22 years and this house is, by far, our favorite. We love the screened porch, the spacious outdoor shower and the large kitchen table. Very easy walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Easy check-in/out.

This modest Cape house filled the bill. The place is nature-cooled thanks to a canopy of pine trees and nearby Chatham waterways on three of four sides, supplemented by two window A/C units. The open floor plan living room and kitchen area made for relaxed socializing and the screened porch added a second social center of gravity. Chatham center is just over a mile away but some of the more interesting, and parking friendly, restaurants like Mac's, Mom and Pop's Burgers and the ultra-casual Kreme and Kone are pretty much around the corner. A five minute walk brought me to the benches at the community's private boat launch--where I enjoyed my morning coffee while looking out at wide, peaceful inlet alive with wildfowl and the very occasional kayak or paddle board. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. show more show less

This was our third year staying at this cottage. We love it because it reminds us of our years spent on Hardings Beach as kids, It is cozy and has a great screened porch that allows families to spend time out of doors during not perfect weather. The cottage living space is open and the bedrooms have enough space for a family. The kitchen has everything you would need for cooking and entertaining. Beach chairs and an umbrella are available for renters use. We can't wait to come back again next year. show more show less

We loved our vacation to Chatham. Such a great house, so comfortable! Perfect for our family of 6. Loved the screened porch and patio for meals and the best outdoor shower!! A short walk to Hardings Beach and Buck Creek! Overall wonderful spot!!

Thanks for the use of beach chairs and umbrella -so nice not to have to bring from home!!

Sad to leave, can’t wait to return next year maybe for 2 weeks next time!!

While I would not choose the word PERFECT to describe this cottage, it was very nice. The location is just right for a walk or bike to the beach; the restaurants nearby are wonderful; and it’s an hour day trip to either Providence or Woods Hole. The beaches are lovely and Chatham - a fabulous destination. This cottage is very basic - 1960s - 70s vintage and requires little maintenance. A sweet place for enjoying family time!

Our idea of “Perfect” would include a washer/dryer for towels OR include linens. It’s humid and nothing dries. We also learned that 1-1/2 baths means 1 bath, plus an outdoor shower (not 2 toilets). Staring the obvious - While one bath is passable, it’s not ideal for a family of 5 or 6.

The outside could use some work - it’s very overgrown with ivy and pine needles dropping everywhere. There’s no grass and lots of scrub plants popping up through ivy. show more show less

I have now stayed at this cottage three times and hope to stay there many times more! The location is perfect--right down the street from Hardings Beach and with easy access to shops and restaurants. The house is on a private street and feels like a home. I love the screened in patio and spend a lot of my free time on it when I am there. I am so happy I came across this cottage and have been able to stay there!

We had a wonderful vacation at this property. The house was fantastic located in a great area with walking access to a beautiful beach. We very much enjoyed the screened porch that had wonderful breezes in the evening. The house itself was very clean and spacious with all of the amenities you need to enjoy yourself. It was more then comfortable for myself, my wife and our 10 year old daughter and 13 year old son. The area has so much to offer -- the beautiful beaches, the National Seashore, great places to walk, deep sea fishing, and summer league baseball. We all enjoyed coming home in the evening to such a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. If you are considering a vacation at the Cape, I would highly recommend this property. show more show less
