Walk to Cockle Cove Beach and Enjoy the Bike Trail!

My husband, 6 week old son and two dogs visited Blair Cottage in late August and had a wonderful week. When we arrived, the cottage was sparkling clean (you would never know it's dog friendly). With a young baby, we didn't have the luxury of taking long day trips but the cottage location in South Chatham was perfect for afternoons in town and trips to the National Seashore. My husband had to work remotely a few days and the excellent Wi-Fi and screened in porch made for a great work location. Inside, we felt cool with the multiple AC units and ceiling fans. The outdoor shower was awesome, water pressure is fantastic! The owners, Jack and Lisa, were very communicative and thoughtful. Jack even mailed us back a few items we left in the dryer on the last day. The cottage might be too small next summer when our son is bigger and in a crib (his bassinet fit perfectly in the second bedroom) but we would definitely recommend it to others! show more show less

We had a wonderful week at Jack's cottage! Our family loved being within walking distance of Cockle Cove beach and a short bike ride from the Cape Cod Rail Trail. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby. Jack and his daughter Lisa were very responsive and Lisa provided a lot of great ideas for our vacation prior to our arrival. Although the cottage is small, we found it very comfortable for our family of 4 (plus our dog). We particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the screened in porch every morning. show more show less

We enjoyed our two weeks in Chatham at Blair Cottage. We LOVE the screen porch and spent most of our time out there! Lantern Lane is such a quiet, peaceful setting. It's a great spot to relax and read a good book. We love being close to Cockle Cove beach and the bike path. This summer was a bit different with social distancing so we spent much of our time at the cottage. We felt completely comfortable because we've always arrived to a clean cottage. We also enjoyed Cockle Cove Beach daily! This was our 6th time staying at Blair and we plan to return next summer. We've always enjoyed our time there. We were very pleased with the accommodations. The living room is very cozy, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen spacious and well equipped. Nice to have a washer and dryer in the cottage. Air conditioning and ceiling fans in all the rooms made it quite comfortable in very hot weather. We grilled on the Weber grill most nights and enjoyed dinner on the beautiful new screened in porch. Lovely quiet setting. Fabulous huge outdoor shower. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our second stay in the family owned cottage in a wooded area just about a half mile from a lovely quiet beach and the bike path. The cottage was super-clean upon arrival, stocked with everything we needed for our 2 week stay. The owner is just down the lane. The house has a huge,brand-new screened- in porch, which is where we spent the majority of our time when not at the beach. It is a perfect dining spot. All rooms have ceiling fans (in addition to a few window units if you need them), which kept the air flow going and maintained a comfortable, airy feel to the cottage.

The neighboring cottages are at a good distance, giving us ample privacy.

This cute cottage was absolutely immaculate when we arrived. We loved the screened in porch to enjoy the fresh air any time of the day. It was dog friendly and had air conditioning! I was extra impressed that it had a washer and dryer. The renters are very nice and friendly.
Perfect for a family of four or fewer! I expect to go back next year.

We absolutely loved this cottage and our close proximity to the beautiful Cockle Cove Beach. This location is just a short drive to the center of town to enjoy the nice selection of restaurants and stores. Our young children really enjoyed playing outside in this nice quiet neighborhood and loved the huge outdoor shower. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The host made the booking experience very easy and we will definitely be back next year!!

VERY CLEAN! This cottage is small but does not feel crowded at all. We had four adults in it for a couple of days and we all felt like we had room to move around. Great location to everything in Chatham and Harwichport. We even drove to Brewster a couple of times to watch the sunset on the bay (highly recommended). The owner was easy to work with and quick to email me back with any questions I had. The outside shower is HUGE and we used it every time instead of the inside shower. So CLEAN! Great location! We spent so much time on the screened porch enjoying the breeze! The owners were such a pleasure to work with too. We brought our dog and you would never know this was a rental that allowed pets! Great find for a great price in South Chatham. We didn’t want to go home. The outdoor shower was my husband’s favorite! The inside shower is a bit tight but who cares on vacation! Beach is not crowded at all and beautiful! You can easily walk to the beach.
