Description

Description

We have a wonderful family home, well maintained property with Ocean rights, in one of Chatham's very best locations.

This house is best suited for small families up to 6 persons, that want to visit 'The Cape it used to be' -- not city-modern.

OUR LOCATION:
Our home sits on a double-lot, just a few hundred feet from the Atlantic Ocean, with just a few minutes-walk to Town, Beaches, Fish Pier, Chatham Bars Inn, fine restaurants, golf, spa, tennis, shopping and attractions. The neighborhood is both exclusive and private. Only 4 homes accessed their homes via Briggs Way.

SETTING:
This is an exquisitely furnished Antique Cape home has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths (more details below). Well maintained, this property was built in 1950. Additional structures on the property include garage-workshop, garden shed and small rustic bedroom/ bath suitable for pre-teens and smaller teens. It's a short walk to the Atlantic Ocean via our private path which starts at the ocean-end of our property.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
The 1st floor master suite has a Sleep Number split-king bed with comfort remote. There's a private bath with air-tub / shower. The suite also includes a private sitting room with closet.

Also on the 1st floor is a smaller bedroom with private bathroom and shower. This room has a private door to the outside. This room has trundle-twins.

On the 2nd floor, there are two bedrooms. the larger one has oversized twins, with the smaller one having trundle-twins.

At the side of the garage, we have a rustic bedroom and bath suitable for pre-teens and smaller teens. We don't count it as a 5th bedroom, but we know its plenty popular with our grandchildren and prior guests (see photos)

LANDSCAPING:
The landscaping is all organic including lawn, organic vegetable garden, trees and flower beds. Help yourself to our vegetable garden. It's a stunning Oceanside location.

WHAT'S NEARBY (easy walking distance):
4 of Chatham's swimming beaches, Fish Pier, Lighthouse Beach, Town Center, outdoor Band Concerts, fine restaurants, shopping and cultural venues.

We are just minutes' walk from the world-class Chatham Bars Inn, offering golf, spa, tennis facilities and fine dining. On the beach, they have a Beach Bar right on the Ocean. There's fine dining is inside at the SACRED COD and STARS restaurants.

POPULAR VISIT:
Include whale-watching, day visits to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard via ferry. There are numerous historical venues all over Cape Cod including Plymouth Plantation and Mayflower Museum (Plymouth), the Whaling Museum in New Bedford, and so many more.

REVIEWS:
Our guest reviews and guest book are all 5-star reviews. We have photographed and videoed the property and room extensively, so there can be no disappointment upon arrival.

VALUE:
This home is located in a very exclusive neighborhood where properties values are in the $4-15 million range. The short rental-season combined with high-cost of maintenance and overhead, cause weekly rentals to be exceptionally high. This home falls in this category. Plenty of privacy and guest-functionality at about one-half the price of equivalent accommodation at the Chatham Bars Inn or Wequassette Resort. The owners plan to keep this property in the family, every rental dollar is reinvested in the property.

OUR SUPPORT TEAM:
Our property manager has been with us for over 15 years. Many of our guests have previously stayed at the Chatham Bars Inn, just minutes' walk down Shore Road. Our home is maintained at the same level, both inside and our beautifully landscaped yard.

Sorry, NO EVENTS.

    Amazing!!

This house is incredible...location, cleanliness, hospitality of the owners, amenities, gardens and attention to details. Pride of ownership is evident as the owners are constantly investing in the property and making upgrades. We spent numerous Thanksgiving weeks in this home. The only reason why we discontinued our stays is because we loved it so much, we purchased our own home right down the road in Chatham as well. This is a top notch rental and has everything you could ever need. The only thing you will be wanting, is more time here. show more show less

    Beautiful Home, Wonderful Location
Our family of four had a wonderful week at this lovely home. Walked down the short path to the rocky overlook each morning to enjoy the view, walked down the road to the beach and town, kayaked at Oyster Pond, and biked on the rail trail that runs from Chatham to Wellfleet. The house itself was perfect for us and our two adult children. My husband and I loved the spacious master suite. We also loved the sun porch and huge lawn, plus the organic garden where we helped ourselves to delicious tomatoes. We enjoyed everything about this house, especially the sense of history and the excellent location. Robert was also very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Our guest loved our home and its location. He extended his stay to take the entire 2019 summer, a total of 11.5 weeks. The house and the location were prefect for his needs. It was his 5th summer in Chatham, so he knows the locations and the best houses.

He's made different travel plans for 2020, but we would be grateful to have him back! Great tenant and wonderful person.

We had a family of eight, representing three generations. Thus, we found the large living room a great common room in which to talk, read, and play with our infant grandchild. In addition, the room overlooking the gardens providing additional space for reading and watching television. The dining table, which sat 8 or 10 comfortably was an asset when we had friends visit for a dinner. We ate twice at Chatham Bars Inn, which is only two blocks a way, went on a marvelous sailboat ride out of Wequassett, enjoyed a seal watch boat ride in Chatham harbor, and arranged for cooked lobster from the Chatham fish pier, only a few blocks away. We also walked into town every morning and had coffee on the way, and most of us participated in Yoga on the beach at Lighthouse beach every morning. Several of us enjoyed the shopping in Chatham , which has unique shops, etc. The children especially enjoyed the beach, which is a National Preservation site located beyond Lighthouse show more show less

My family (wife and 3 kids) stayed here for a week in June 2013! First off, the house is beautiful!!!!! It was clean and roomy and very comfortable! The home is in a wonderful location as we walked to town for shopping and food. We also walked to the Chatham baseball games...AWESOME!!!!! Very close to the Chatham Pier Fish Market and the wonderful Chatham Bars Inn. Robert, the owner was extremely helpful in every way! If you are thinking so staying in Chatham, I would strongly advise staying here...you won't be disappointed!!!!!! show more show less

Our family and friends (Six Adults and Two Children) absolutely loved our experience staying at the Briggs House. We'd stayed at the Chatham Bars Inn in 2015, and wanted room for friends and more value so we ventured here. Coming from NYC, my three year old was thrilled with the football field of grass out back and we loved being able to walk to the center of town, multiple beaches and the Chatham Bars Inn Resort. As said in another review, this is a family home, its not appointed like a rental. It felt much more like having your favorite aunt/uncle allow you a week at at their Cape House. Robert couldn't have been better to deal with. We will definitely be back show more show less

The Briggs House is the quintessential "old Cape Cod" vacation house. It has everything a guest could want, from lobster crackers and lovely antique furnishings to a location within easy walking distance of some of the Cape's best beaches and the pretty village of Chatham. The long green lawn—perfect for a Frisbee game—and well-tended flower beds invite guests outdoors. Couldn't have asked for a nicer Cape vacation. Thank you.

The Briggs House could not have been better for our trip. The location was perfect for traveling up and down the Cape to our destinations, easy access and convenient. The house had everything we needed as far as amenities go, was very spacious for 6 adults and 3 kids. The scenery was incredible, immaculate garden and the huge yard made our trip, with the kids and adults. Close access to Chatham's amazing restaurants and several area beaches. Could go on and on, but to sum it up, an absolutely PERFECT place to celebrate our anniversaries!! show more show less

This is a well-maintained family home on a double lot, with ocean rights.

My wife and I kept the home in the family with our purchase in 1997 with the hope that it would continue to stay in the family. Every rental-dollar has been reinvested in the property, and then some.

We both love Chatham and all its beautiful beaches and historical sites.

We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. We love to travel, sail, hike and bike.

Over the years this home has house many happy families making Chatham memories. We've never has a disappointed guest.

    Please come stay with us.
