John and Denise's Cockle Cove home is a perfect spot for a Cape Cod adventure. The house is cozy, comfortable, and convenient to everything! Cockle Cove Beach is a pleasant walk or a very short drive away, or you can be at the popular Harding's beach in 5 minutes! And Taylor Pond, just down the road, is a great little walk as well.

John and Denise are the perfect hosts, never more than a phone call or email away if needed. And the care they've put into the home shines through. The seaside decor is very charming with extremely comfortable furniture, from the couches to the beds to the sunroom dining table. The kitchen appliances are top-notch, and the roomy, multi-jet outdoor shower was great after a day on the beach.

We have stayed on the Cape for the past 23 summers and this home immediately became one of our favorite rentals. Already counting the days until we go back next year! show more show less

My family enjoyed our long weekend at the Cottage. Owners were wonderful to rent from. The cottage is very clean and well kept with every you need. The big thing for me was the beds - very comfortable. The cottage is in a great location close to everything, with a very nice beach right down the street. If you are looking for a place where your family can spread out and relax - this is the cottage for you!

I would not hesitate to recommend John & Denise's Chatham home to anyone looking for a perfect Cape get-away. In fact, I was still enjoying my stay at their home when I emailed John and asked to reserve a week there next summer along with an additional weekend! The house is just as the pictures that are posted. It was immaculate, and neither too big nor too small and very well equipped. The backyard patio is wonderful in the evening whether reading, talking, grilling or enjoying the outdoor shower. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the location to beaches, downtown and sites is very convenient. We enjoyed Cockle Cove beach and Hardings Beach. It's wonderful to get in the ocean and not freeze - these waters had to be at least 75 degrees due to being on the Sound.....and they were not crowded. The town of Chatham is quaint, charming and offers an array of dining, shopping, and other activities. You may be as busy (or not) as you would like. Lunch at the Chatham Bar Inn on the veranda overlooking the Sound; an island excursion and watching the seals; visiting a lighthouse; walking through Main Street and admiring the homes and gardens or lazing on a beach and enjoying the water will not disappoint. I am looking forward to next summer and homemade ice cream at the Schoolhouse Ice cream Shop at the end of Cockle Cove Road........in addition to the Chef's Carbonerra at the Chatham Squire restaurant in town! show more show less

I was nervous about renting a house for a week without seeing it up close and personal. The photos don't do it justice. It was cozy and clean and had all I needed (ie. utensils, brochures for sightseeing, flat screen TV, DVD player, Bose Stereo system throughout house) and some I didn't need but thoroughly enjoyed like the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. It was in a very picturesque part of town and I was constantly taking snapshots. The beach was great (Cockle Cove beach).My family enjoyed walking to the pond nearby in the morning and taking in nature. The boutiques and restaurants in the Village were great, too . I did not want to go back home. My 7 year old said it was the best vacation ever and we have been to France and Disney World.We had lots of fun! show more show less

I just came back from John's home. What a cozy and inviting home it is. The place was very clean and just as John described. A special thank you to John for adding the central A/C this year, we needed it. The outside shower was a nice treat too. John called to welcome us the day we arrived, and wanted to make sure everything was to our expectation. We had a true relaxing vacation. I love the area and the beach down the street. I must say that Chatham is great little town with all its shops and restaurants. John, your house made our vacation. I look forward to returning to Cape Cod next year and you know I'm not staying anywhere else but you home. Let me know if you ever want to sell it. My Family and I had the pleasure to vacation at John and Denise's home in July. John was very helpful and honest when we inquired about his property. You can tell this guy cares about his home and his guests. We asked many questions and he was very helpful every time. The second we arrived, we knew we made the right choice. John and Denise welcomed us with their own “welcome bucket” of brochures to local restaurants and activities. He even called us to make sure everything was OK once we arrived. If we had any questions during the stay, John was just a phone call away. The house was beautiful and very clean. You could tell these owners took great care of the place and was genuinely concerned with our needs and experience. This was not just some “rental property” to these two. The home was inviting and cozy. The location was perfect. We were close to everything and away from it all at the same time. The ice cream shop up the street was a nightly visit for us. Thank you John for all your recommendations! The beach was just a few minutes walk down the road and what a beautiful walk it was. Cockle Cove beach was never too crowded and many times we felt like it was there just for us. Words can not express the nightly walks on the beach we experienced. What a sunset!! His photo is no lie! We have been vacation renters for many years across the USA and this is the first time I felt I needed to write about such a great place. We searched many homes in Chatham before we booked this one. The price was right, the owners are great, and we will be here again next year. I have already booked my week for 2009. Hi, We just stayed at John's place. It was wonderful! The home was great for our mini family reunion. There were 6 adults (both sets of grandparents) my husband and I and our 1 year old son. The set up was great. The sunroom is very separate from the rest of the house, which was wonderful when my son got up early, no one else could hear us as we played. Very nice walk to the beach (Cockle Cove was awesome for our 1 year old!) and we did end up getting a weekly pass. Everything was very neat and clean, and John was great about returning our calls and very helpful throughout the whole booking and rental process. Thank you for a wonderful first cape cod experience!
