    Best Vacation Ever

This place is literally a dream come true. I have never been to a house that is basically sitting in a lake. The first thing you notice when you enter the house (besides how beautifully decorated it is) you see a huge body of water outlined by room length sliding doors and windows which lets tons of natural light in. I loved waking up every morning and going out on the deck with a cup of coffee in my hand and the cool lake-air washing over me.

The house is a lot bigger than one would think when looking at the outside, it looked small, cute, and quaint from the outside but on the inside there was actually quite a lot of room. The living/kitchen area is one big open floor plan which I'm a big fan of.

The owners of this property; Roger and Anne were excellent. They provided everything for us. Most of the time when you rent down in the Cape you get the house and pretty much nothing else so having condiments, a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher was most certainly a welcome treat. They are also extremely kind and sweet, the second we met them it felt like we had just come in contact with a pair of old friends, they felt like family. They were also very accommodating for me and my disability. Its hard to find places that want to help you make a home you're renting wheelchair accessible and they were more than happy to help us figure out how I was going to get into the house with my large, electric wheelchair. There was never a problem getting around which was great for me.

My mom enjoyed cooking in the wide open kitchen because most of the time in these cape houses the kitchen is a little cramped thing were you can barely even turn around, that wasn't the case for this one, it was literally the complete opposite. Oh, and another thing, they have wifi and its extremely fast too, perfect for any people who need to get work done on their computer or kids who need it for their many different devices.

I absolutely love this place and can't even believe its real, like I said, its a dream come true. No place in Cape Cod is as nice as this which means I will be back multiple times during the summer next year and maybe even again this year! Thanks Anne and Roger for making this the vacation of a lifetime. I can't even begin to put into words how much we appreciate you. See you next time!

    Excellent Vacation

This vacation house is a dream. Hard to get into as vacationers re-rented for the following year. I will too. The house is perfect and the owners are wonderful.

Two wonderful vacations at this property

Two amazing and memorable weekends at this property; we loved it so much the first year, we re-rented a second year, and are now attempting a third. SO beautiful, and the owners are thoughtful, inviting, and kind:-) couldn't ask for better renters or a more lovely property!

The Point of Pines has been special for me since my parents bought the property next door 55 years ago and I have been coming to this point ever since. From the time I learned to sail, I have loved this wonderful large lake. And I appreciate the friendly community of people who also call the Point of Pines home. Being at the end of the point is special. We were living down the street when the owners since 1946 put this two house property on the market in 2007. It was so special that we bought it and moved into the other house.

What is special about this property?
The home sits on a 1.6 acres at very end of the point on Lake Wequaket, the second largest, fresh-water lake on Cape Cod featuring 9.5 miles of shoreline. Classically mid-century designed, the home is air-conditioned throughout, has ceiling fans as well as an open living area with sliding doors connected to the large, over-water deck. The 80 foot long dock can be used to tie-up boats or fish. there is also a private boat launch.

What is special about your town?
The home is centrally located on the Cape. It is almost equal distance from Craigville Beach on the ocean to the south, and West Barnstable to the north on the bayside. And it is extremely convenient to the other restaurants and attractions on the Cape. In the small village of Centerville are the famous Four Seas Ice Cream Shop and Centerville Pie, made famous by Oprah.
