Guest perspectives
''We've been to the Cape most summers for the last 20 years. This house is our favorite, hands down. It is truly large and spacious, and in a perfect location. It easily accommodates a large extended family or two families with great flow and extra space left over. The private beach on a pristine lake -- and all that it comes with: swimming, kayaking, fishing etc. -- is truly unique. That, combined with being right on the rail-trail makes this house a children's paradise right at the doorstep. No need to ever pack a car. It is both an elegant and dignified place for adults, and a built-in playground for the kids. We highly recommend it and we will certainly return next year.''
- Steven, Summer 2020

''We fell in love with this beautiful airy home after renting a number of homes over the last 10 years on the cape. The location right on the pond and the rail trail is amazing. The house has everything you need - the kids and adults had a fantastic time using the kayaks and SUPs and swimming at the beach during the day and making smores and cocktails at the firepit at night. We wish we could have stayed all summer!''
- Elana, Summer 2020

''A beach complete with boats, sand toys and comfy seats, a huge play yard and lots of room in the house for everyone. This home is perfect for families or multi-families. The home itself was well-equipped in the kitchen. With 2 dining tables and a kid’s table, there’s room for everyone. It was a perfect vacation for us!''

    Perfect spot; helpful hosts

This was our third year at Sheep Pond and we look forward to year four. It is the perfect spot for our busy group and our hosts are always thoughtful, ensuring a smooth process. There is much fun to be had on-site and the location is convenient. The water front activities are always popular. and the house is well set up for a large group. We could not be happier!

    Wonderful Stay!

This was a truly wonderful stay! We can't say enough nice things about the property. The house is very spacious, with fun games and other unexpected perks. And the location couldn't be better, right on the pond and just off the bike path. We especially enjoyed the boats and would love to come and stay again. The hosts are terrific

Perfect Location for your Cape Cod Waterfront Vacation

If you love to get up every morning and take a swim or a paddle across a crystal clear body of water, Sheep Pond Escape is for you! Each morning there were people, bright body-bouys attached, doing just this! Very inspiring! If swimming laps isn't for you, there are Stand Up Paddle Boards, a kayak and a canoe for your use. The peaceful private beach has rows of adirondack chairs for lounging and watching the ducks swim by. There is also a fire-pit, a hammock, and a jacuzzi, along with a very long deck off the back of the house.

Our family also loved the proximity to the bike-trail, literally only steps away. There are some bikes in the garage for renters to use. We also just enjoyed our mornings walking on the trail every day to get our steps in. The General Store, which serves coffee, ice-cream and sandwiches, is about 1.6 miles away, right off the trail.

This house is spacious and well-appointed for cooking. Bonus surprise was the Nespresso machine and package of Nespresso pods left by the owner. This is my go-to coffee at home, so was thrilled to have that and the Nespresso milk steamer available for my morning beverage. (If you know, you know!) A very nice typical-style coffee machine is there as well.

Lots of space to gather! Comfortable beds! Lots of light! Quiet neighborhood! Proximity to Brewster Beaches......we make a point to go watch the sun set over the bay every night we can. Crosby Beach, Skaket Beach, First Encounter Beach....all amazing spots to watch the sun set, or to explore the tidal flats when the tide is out. Just a short drive from Sheep Pond Escape.

We've been coming to the Cape for 30 years, and we would rent this house again. Sheep Pond Escape was comfortable, clean, excellent location, responsive owners and well-appointed. There are lots of twin beds, so bring your kiddos!

    Delightful property with thoughtful hosts

Our family reunion visit was fantastic thanks to the efforts our hosts put in to creating the perfect retreat that takes full advantage of the beautiful location and roomy house. The clear pond is great for relaxation and recreation; 2 kayaks and 2 stand-up paddle boards were in frequent use. The kitchen is well-equipped, all rooms are nicely furnished, the outdoor showers are clean and spacious, the sandy beach is great for hanging out and the fire pit is a great way to end the day.

Communication with our responsive hosts was very smooth; the house is set up exactly as one would hope for a great vacation.

Amazing get away for the whole family

We feel so lucky to have been able to stay at the Sheep Pond Escape with our 5 kids. The house itself is beautiful - meticulously maintained with every amenity imagined. The set-up is gorgeous and sparkling clean.

Our time there was spent half working/studying from home and half on vacation and the place is set up amazingly for both. We were able to set everyone up in a separate place for working/studying from home and everyone had privacy and access to very strong internet. And when we were done we made full use of the boating equipment, hot tub and side yard for so much fun. The kitchen is large and lends itself to cooking meals for a family. We were lucky to have excellent weather and made use of dining on the patio. There are so many bedrooms that even with our 5 (!) kids there were bedrooms we never even entered.

The house is just a short drive from a cute downtown area, restaurants and bakeries. We loved our time there and dream of returning soon!

We had been coming to the cape for about 15 years with our family and fell in love with the Brewster area - the great ponds, the rail trail, and the beautiful beaches. We feel so fortunate to have found this home and we are excited to share it with you.

What is special about this property?
We love the warm feel of the house's interior, but we especially enjoy the outside range of activities: swimming and boating at the pond, laying in the hammock or playing soccer or wiffle ball in the large yard, relaxing in the hot tub, biking right on the rail trail, and making smores by the fire at night.

What is special about your town?
Brewster is the quintessential quaint Cape Cod town with its tranquil bay beaches, one-of-a-kind small town shops and restaurants, and a host of outdoor-friendly activities. Some nearby highlights include:

    Breakwater beach
    Nickerson State Park
    Cape Cod Rail Trail
Cafes, restaurants, and ice cream shops
    Playgrounds
    Tennis and basketball courts
Public library and used book store
Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
