    perfect cape escape

We had a wonderful week at Sara's home in Brewster! The house is clean and well appointed. The inside/outside is exactly as it looks on the website. The homeowner, Sara, was extremely helpful and responsive with questions, both before our stay and during. It is obvious that Sara and her family care for their house and use it- leaving things for us to use like board games and beach chairs and laundry detergent enhanced our stay significantly! We loved being near Seymour pond and also close to the rail trail. The fantastic location of the house allowed us access to every place we love visiting on the cape. We hope to return again in the future! show more show less

    Love It

We have rented this lovely Brewster home for several years now. It is perfect for our three generation family vacation. The house is spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is nicely updated with everything needed. The house is always immaculately clean upon our arrival. There is a good size yard for outdoor games. The location is great, the neighborhood is kid friendly for walking or bike riding. It is also very close to the bike trail. The kids especially love Seymour Pond for swimming and fishing. Sara is responsive and easy to work with. Any question or issue we have is quickly addressed. We intend to continue to rent this property every year! show more show less

    Sixth Spectacular Year!

This was our sixth year in a row staying here, and just as with our first five stays, it was perfect. The house is beautifully appointed, super clean, and very spacious; large enough for everyone to have their own place to escape to, with warm and inviting spots for everyone to come together. Of note; the kitchen is next level, top of the line everything, the large private yard is perfect for lawn games, and if it rains, you're still happy to be home here!
Sara is a great host; responsive, great with communication, and very knowledgeable about the area. You.will.love.it.

    Absolutely Perfect!

We had such a wonderful time in this fabulous home in Brewster. It's nicely located a short walk from a pond and a short drive to the Bayside beaches of Brewster. The house is absolutely lovely and has everything you could possibly need for a week's stay. Sara is very responsive and was a joy to work with. We can't wait to come back!

    Beautiful home!

As soon as we drove up and parked the car it felt as if we had come home! The house was beautiful and well equipped. It was pristine clean which we appreciated. We wanted for nothing. The kitchen was filled with everything you could want, such a thoughtful touch. The beds were very comfortable and the main bathroom downstairs with the walk in shower was wonderful. We mostly used the outdoor shower which was great. There is a clothesline outside where you can hang your towels, bathing suits, etc.

There is no question we will return! Sara was wonderful answering any questions that we may have had and anticipated questions that we may not have though of in advance.

    Loved this house & location!

We enjoyed a 3 generation vacation in this lovely home. The house was perfect for our needs with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down. There are beautifully renovated bathrooms, though I preferred the spacious outdoor shower whenever possible. Good sized living room with comfortable seating, and a very nice kitchen well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house is well maintained, and was very clean when we arrived
    .
The location is great! It is a very kid friendly neighborhood. We all loved Seymour Pond and went everyday.

Sara was very responsive, and worked with us when we needed to reschedule. Very nice to work with. We will absolutely rent this property again.

    Excellent Cape Rental

My husband and adult sons and I stayed in Sara's house for 2 weeks this summer, and we can't wait to go back. The yard is very peaceful with birds chirping at all times of day. Access for my husband (who has mobility limitations) was good, with a king bedroom and full bath on the ground floor. And the house was so well stocked with everything we could have needed that it made the visit very relaxing and easy.

Finally, Sara and her husband were great hosts, available during the first couple of days to help figure out the TV remotes (never a strength of mine) and answer miscellaneous questions. We couldn't have had a better time and are looking forward to going back next year! show more show less

    Awesome Getaway!

We were lucky enough to spend a couple of early spring weeks at this great house. It was a perfect home base to explore the entire Cape. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is huge! And it probably has everything you need (coffeemaker, nespresso, kitchenaid, and a WAFFLE MAKER). The living room has the best chairs, and you get some great views of the neighborhood birds through the front window.

There are TVs in every bedroom, and easy to hook up to your own netflix, etc. The internet is probably the best we've ever had in any rental. There is a full size washer and dryer in the house, too, so pack light (ok, lighter). The bed was actually comfortable, which was a nice change from some rentals we've had.

The neighborhood is quiet, and you can walk to the local pond. The Rail Trail is about a half mile away (there is a parking lot). Not sure how easy it is to get around in the summer, but it was a wonderful time in the spring!

We loved our time here, and look forward to returning!

    Great house!

We had a wonderful time at the house. It was the best equipped kitchen that I've ever seen. The house was spacious and super comfortable for 5 people. We enjoyed eating on the deck, using the beach chairs in the garage, storing bikes in the garage, building puzzles in the dining room, and just generally hanging out. It was a steaming hot week and the a/c worked well. We LOVED the outdoor shower too.

The location was great. We rode to the bike trail, drove 7 minutes to beautiful beaches for sunsets, got dinner & ice cream in downtown Brewster. It is centrally located.

Sara was a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive.

    Fantastic retreat in Brewster

We had the great pleasure to stay here in Brewster for 2 weeks. The place is spacious and easily fit our family of 6. The kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need to enjoy the bounty of the Cape. Internet was high speed and the A/C was very effective.

Perhaps the most spectacular part of the house are the beautiful grounds- multiple yards, a garden, a fountain--all lush and growing for your comfort and relaxation. On the location side, at only 1/2 mile from the rail trail we were able to ride every day. Seymour Pond is walk-able and Little Breakwater beach is only a short drive way. Cannot recommend highly enough! show more show less

Sara is a long-time New Englander, and has owned this house since 2017. She grew up in Connecticut and has fond memories of family vacations on Cape Cod. For Sara, Cape Cod it is a retreat from the busy urban landscape of New Haven, Connecticut, where she lives full-time. Sara has a love for the National Park system, and will gladly recommend any and all of the programs that Cape Cod National Seashore offers, particularly the Junior Ranger Program. She is a nature lover and conservationist, with a background in historic preservation and Realestate (specifically in the non-profit Community Land Trusts of Vermont).

What is special about this property?
We are excited to share our home with you! We've tried to set-up a retreat where guests can feel relaxed whether indoors or out - at the pond, on the deck, in the backyard, or listening to the tranquil sounds of the fountain. We share a concern for our environment and are working to make our homes as ''green'' as possible - prioritizing recycling, sustainable food containers and reuse whenever possible. We have set up a compost bin for your uncooked fruit and vegetable scraps, are growing vegetables in raised beds and a pollinator garden to support all of bees, butterflies and birds who also call the Cape home for the summer.

We have many kitchen gadgets, bed linens, bath linens, table linens, beach towels and chairs. The Highlands is a great residential neighborhood with no through traffic and a ladder-type grid of streets, wonderful for morning walks or bike rides. People often rent bikes and send their kids off around the neighborhood to explore. Seymour Pond is a private neighborhood swimming and boating (no motors) lake, a 5-10 minute walk away, with a great little sand beach and dock.

What is special about your town?
We love Brewster for it's central location, it's serene beauty and number of attractions. Hiking trails, the bike trail, ponds, 8 bay beaches, cranberry bogs and farm stands are all a part of the charm of Brewster. We often go to a different beach each day. At low tide, you can walk a long, long ways out on the ocean floor, an experience you won't soon forget. There are shops, great restaurants, artist studios and antiques populate the town.
