Visitors to Nantucket can't miss this famous lighthouse as they enter the harbor. Built in 1746, the lighthouse still operates today.

Chatham Lighthouse

Chatham Light sits on the harbor next to an active Coast Guard station. The current lighthouse tower was built in 1877.

East Chop Lighthouse

Sitting high atop a bluff overlooking Vineyard Haven Harbor, the East Chop Lighthouse, constructed in 1869, was once a reddish brown color. Thus, some locals still refer to it as the Chocolate Lighthouse.

Edgartown Lighthouse

This historic lighthouse underwent major renovation in 2007. At its base is the Children's Memorial, established in memory of children who have died.

Great Point Lighthouse

Originally built in 1784, this lighthouse was destroyed by fire in 1816 and again by a storm in 1984. It stands on a thin stretch of beach where the Atlantic Ocean and Nantucket Sound currents meet.

Highland Lighthouse

Highland Light is on the Cape Cod National Seashore and is the oldest and tallest lighthouse on the Cape. It is open for tours.

Nauset Lighthouse

Originally built in 1877 in Chatham, Nauset Light was moved to Eastham in 1923. Because of beach erosion, it was moved 336 feet west in 1996. Cape Cod Potato Chips uses this lighthouse as its logo!

Another picture of Nobska Light. It was originally built in 1828 as simply a light on top of a house (thus the name lighthouse). It was rebuilt in 1876, with the keeper's house next door.

Sankaty Head Light sits atop a bluff on the eastern shore of Nantucket island. Built in 1850, it was moved 400 feet away from its eroding bluff.
