About Larsen's Fish Market...Larsen's was started in 1969 by Louis and Mary Larsen. At the time an offshore fisherman, Louis and his wife Mary opened the market to help support the local fishing community by offering fair prices to both the fishermen and islanders. Their daughters Betsy and Kristine began working at the market in their teens, and by age 19 Betsy was running the whole operation. Today, much of the Larsen family works at the market, along with members of other local families and many summertime residents.
