The Barn & Co.

My mother and I have always enjoyed shopping around Dennis while on vacation and have always stopped at the Barn & Co. this year my mother has had some physical setbacks and now requires a walker. The building in no way is handicapped friendly and neither is the staff. They were so rude and acted put out by her trying to maneuver through their cluttered store. When we asked if they had a more accessible entrance/exit we were told "no". Which is fine but the most disgusting part was when the women working in the back made the comment that "once you do one thing to accommodate handicapped people you have to do everything then." I certainly hope they consider changing their attitude. We won't be shopping there again. On a positive note The Armchair Bookstore and Nance's Candy were wonderful and so helpful.

The Barn is a beautiful shop, packed to the rafters with decorative items--framed pictures, Christmas ornaments, baby gifts, hostess gifts, greeting cards,etc.--that are hard to resist. Add to that the friendly, helpful staff, and it becomes a comfortable, intriguing place to shop.
