This large(2.5 miles) is a wide beach with soft sand and low dunes and offers view of Martha's Vineyard. Part of a state park, South Cape Beach has some nature trails that are accessible from the beach.
Lovely beach with calm surf and no crowds in early September. great for walking.

By far our favorite beach in the area- quieter, prettier, less crowded, and longer (great for walking).

It’s always South Cape- in the fall for the trails and the shore which is easy to hike in sneaks. In summer no lifeguards, know your swimmers sometimes waves can be tough. White, granular , soft sand, park at DCR deck situated over shore for viewing, lunch or relaxing! Just enough people around!

A pristine setting , has bathroom, no concession and handicap accessible beach carpet. Observation trails for those who don’t want to sit but enjoy the natural setting and habitats!
This beach was very sandy not rocky and the water was not very cold as other beaches that we have been to at the cape. Easy to get to and not very expensive to park. Went back a couple of times. Can't wait to return.

The water was warm. The waves are small and nice for little ones. We went very early in the day and experienced light crowds and safe distancing. People for the most part wore masks. It is a good beach for walking or swimming.
