The beach can get crowded at high tide but once the tide goes out, the beach is spacious and sandy. Excellent for families as there is a restroom, snack bar and plenty of waves to ride on the boogie board. Our daughter especially loved searching for crabs and fish in the marshland across the street.

Wonderful soft sandy beach with no seaweed and no shells or rocks. Clear and warm water and during weekdays not too busy.

Old Silver Beach is our favorite beach because of its warm waters, beautiful sand, burgers, slushies, bathrooms and wash down stations. Parking is $30 but they do accept cash and credit cards! Employees were friendly.

Quite beach, but rocky at the shore (~10 feet) then sandy, the beach is not deep until high tides. Beach shoes help until you get used too. My kids did not want to wear shoes. We had a lot of fun, they are 10 and 7.

A nice sandy beach, not rocky like some of the other beaches in the area. Large parking lot, lots of room to spread out away from others, geat sand to build sand castles. There are even sea creatures under the water to see. We found a live horseshoe crab, a conch shell with a large living snail inside, small crabs, muscles and clams. The children were amazed and did a lot of exploring to find other sea life!

When the tide goes out, you can walk up the estuary or quite far out to a sandbar. Made it really easy and fun to explore with little kids. Good facilities

Beautiful beach. Warmer water. But very busy. You’ll need to get there early to beat the traffic.

You can use the private community beach for this home [Vacation Rental ID 27559]. However, nearby Old Silver Beach is also a lot of fun. You can quickly get to the Sea Crest for drinks or meals.

Water is extremely warm and sand is very fine and pure white. There are no rocks in the water. There is a food hut to purchase burgers, grilled cheese, chicken sandwiches. When the tide is out there is a sand bar and you do have to walk a distance; however at high tide you don’t have to walk far.

White sand, clear water at decent water temperature. Most of the beaches in Falmouth are full of rocks and large pebbles and you need rubber water shoes. But not Old Silver Beach. It's not a very large beach and it's very popular so it gets crowded pretty quick. However if you get there no later than 10am, like we did, you will not have a problem finding a parking spot and a great spot on the beach.

Old Silver Beach offers a very fine white sand which is not the case at many other beaches. There is a wonderful snack bar right there and there is a permanent bath house. Be aware though that the public parking areas fill up quickly and unless you are there before 10 am you may not be able to get a space. Parking is $25. Another wonderful beach is in South Yarmouth. Bass River Beach with a very large parking area also fills up; but not as quickly. The sand is also pure white and fine and there are changing facilities, bathrooms and a complete snack bar.

It is close - has a sandbar, restrooms and food vendor. Importantly, the lifeguards are very attentive. The children are very happy here and look forward to returning every year. It does get crowded but that makes for good people watching!

It was perfect for the kids. They loved the sandbar at low tide. It's not the biggest beach, but it's convenient having bath houses and even a snack shack.

White sand. Water warmer than elsewhere on the Cape. However on the weekend, get there ridiculously early. The parking lot was full at 9:06 am. I recommend renting a house in walking distance.
