Nelson Memorial Park is a popular Plymouth park that is especially enjoyable for families with children of all ages.In addition to the beach, there is a playground, splash pad, and picnic area with shaded trees. There is also a boat ramp and bike path that goes along Plymouth Harbor.

This park is good. Its great that they finally open the splash pad too. Parking is a hit or miss situation. But i feel like they could open more parking area. And the playground, my son used too love it bc of the sand, the bridge. Now that its smaller, less things for kids to do on it. Yes, it's new, which is awesome, but not very well thought!

If you have small children in your party, check out Nelson Memorial Park in Plymouth center. (it's just up the coast of Plymouth Long Beach, north of Plymouth Wharf). Nelson Park has a nice splash park (perfect for kids not yet of swimming age), a playground (slides, swings, climbing ropes, etc.), shade trees, picnic tables, a concession stand (snacks, pizza, hot dogs -- even sun block and diapers), food trucks for lobster rolls and ice cream treats, clean rest rooms, and a nice beach facing Plymouth Bay. Parking is available within a few blocks if the park's parking lot is full. We went back 3 times in one week.
