Long Pond is a great spot for swimming. The water is clear and there is a floating dock for swimming to and jumping from. Although the beach is small there is a large grassy knoll behind it that is a great picnic spot. Plenty of wildlife to see, especially frogs and turtles. Good spot for kayaking and canoeing. Parking permit required.
A quiet and not crowded place for a relaxing day. The water was warm and crystal clear. All you need is a Wellfleet parking sticker.

Warm, sandy bottom, clear and clean - no bugs! Permit parking until after 4PM - can get really crowded though and tight maneuvering for spaces. No facilities - porta-johns only. Afterwards, either some music at the Beachcomber (just down Long Pond Rd to the ocean) or the other into Wellfleet for Music @ Mayo beach Thursday & Friday nights and a really nice dinner at Pearl.
