Water Type: Salt water

A ten minute walk from the parking lot, Moshup is a beach with soft sand good surf. The setting cannot be beat as the beautiful Gay Head Cliffs serve as a backdrop to this exquisite stretch of beach. Don't be surprised if you come across some nude sunbathers, as nude sunbathing is allowed at the far end of the beach.

Love the tranquility of the cliffs and the ability to walk so far along the cliffs. It takes more coordinating to drop off passengers and gear and then park closer to the lighthouse. The driver has to walk about 10 minutes to get back to the beach. Well worth the effort!!!

Moshup is our favorite beach to watch the sunset into the water. Views are incredible with the cliffs. After going to the Aquinnah shops and lookout, maybe lighthouse is open, drop your guests at the beach drop off spot. Then park up top at the beach lot and walk down the path to the beach. Enjoy

Pristine beach. Never crowded. Great for children and adults.

Moshup Beach is absolutely stunning and less crowded than other public beaches on the island. The ocean with a backdrop of the clay cliffs is unparalleled. There are also giant rocks sprinkled about which add to the drama. Please note that there are some nudists at the far end of the beach, but you have to walk quite some way to get to that area. Don't let it stop you from experiencing the natural beauty of this beach!

Love the surf for boogie boarding. Less crowded and more private. The backdrop of the beautiful cliffs is amazing. Bring cash for parking $15-$20. You have to drop off your stuff at the path and go back up the road to park and walk down. You can also take a nice walk up to the shops and get food too and visit the lighthouse. Beware if you go too far down the beach it has a section that is a nude beach.

This beach had big boulders in the water, it was near the lighthouse, there was a really nice restaurant at the top of the hill with spectacular views. The beach was simply spectacular against the clay cliffs.
