A local's favorite, this quiet beach is great for swimming and has an abundance of seashells. There is a small parking lot and the parking is free.
Grab a beach chair and don't miss the spectacular sunsets, it's a short walk!!

The beach was so clean and water so clear. The views were beautiful. Easy access to the beach and the we enjoyed reading about the light house as well.

You can walk to the beach. It is quieter and provides the sand and salt and sea one needs.

Forest Beach is a short walk from the rental [Chatham Vacation Rental ID 14699] and very private. It was very refreshing to enjoy a morning and evening walk. We occasionally picked up sea shells, did some surf casting, enjoyed the sounds of the waves, and watched sunsets. The neighborhood scenery is very attractive too.

The beach was a little rocky but also stunning. We found the beach to be quiet and picturesque. This beach is not at all crowded and is a solid choice.

Forest beach is an 8 minute walk from the front steps of The Cat’s Meow! [Vacation Rental ID 24764] It is a neighborhood beach in that there is very limited parking and seemed to be occupied mostly by families staying in the neighborhood. Adjacent to the beach is a bird estuary which lends itself to give a very remote feel without being remote. Great swimming and the warmest water we found on our Cape Cod vacation!

We have frequented this beach for the last 30 years. This was our starter beach. We tend to rent in this area in season. This being said we are very familiar with the beach, tides, depth and walking capability. We like it because it is the sound, somewhat proctected with no seals so hopefully no sharks! It certainly doesn't hurt that the parking is free.
