Coast Guard Beach is a beautiful beach that is bordered by high dunes. Being on the ocean side there is plenty of surf for the surfers and for those who enjoy playing in the waves.

Beautiful sunsets and lots of swimming seals. Very Sandy beach no rocks and little seaweed. Bring bug spray for sand flies

We discovered the Truro Coast Guard Beach. which can be accessed from the new Head of the Meadow bike path extension. It's tiny and beautiful.

Such a great beach! We were able to see whales breaching as well as some seals swimming just off shore.

Coast Guard Beach in October is spectacular. It was very uncrowded on a beautiful sunny day. Seals were fishing in the crashing surf on the day we visited. The view of the marsh from the upper parking area is equally beautiful.

While only visiting this beach for the first time in the "off-season" of late September, it is a sight to behold. The waves are huge with high winds, and the beauty the day we visited was like a postcard. Bundle up and maybe choose to ride your bike along a path (a bit hilly) to this beach. Many areas to explore and history to read about. The next beach after this one, would be Race Point, visited on a sunnier day, with quieter waters and seals in the coastline waves.

While the close beach was super, and we were there almost every day, Coast Guard is a world class beach. So much fun watching the seals, and hoping to spot a great white shark.

You must park and ride a tram to this beach, but the beauty of the ride itself is breathtaking. The beach is gorgeous, and if you are willing to walk a bit, you can usually find many seals frolicking in the water. This area has bike trails that are quite fun to ride as well.First Encounter beach is terrific for little ones, the water is a bit warmer and not as deep, so it feels safer with children.

coast guard beach which is a Truro town beach right down the road. Nice, easy access. Great to walk down the coastline. Wonderful views of the dunes and clifts.

Fantastic waves for older children and adults. Not for little ones. Too rough.
