The Captain Heman Smith House, built in 1862, is the lovely focal point of the Compound overlooking the spacious lawn on the waterfront of Nauset Cove.
Located in-town on the Eastham/Orleans line, the Compound is a very pleasant gathering place for large groups of family and friends.
The four air-conditioned buildings all of which are fully equipped, provide a variety of accommodation options: Five bedrooms and four bathrooms in the completely renovated Captain Heman Smith House, a three bedroom, one bath Cape at the water's edge, a one bedroom, one bath Carriage House with a full kitchen, and finally a brand new two bedroom, two and a half bath Cape with a granite and beadboard kitchen. All of these homes overlook the beautiful spacious lawn, Nauset Cove and Hopkin's Island!

In addition, you can tie your boat to the dock or put it on our mooring.

The Main Captain's House and the accompanying Homes combine for Nine Bedrooms ranging in size and feel. Each is unique in character and aesthetic appeal, with great attention paid to the design.
There is 1 King Size Bed, Seven Queen Size Beds, 1 Full Size Bed, 7 Twin Size Beds, Eight Full Bathrooms, One Half Bath, Nine Showers, Three Bath Tubs and a Granite Jacuzzi Tub in one of the Master Suites. There 2 Beautiful custom Tiled Showers in the new Cape and we also have a great outdoor shower overlooking the Cove
The Four Kitchens are fully equipped with everything one needs to create meals of any size. There are also Two Gas Grills for Outdoor Cooking complete with Two Extra Large White Picnic Tables for those Memorable Backyard Meals.
There are also Multiple Televisions, DVD players, VCR's, a Full Stereo with built in speakers, a Tempeture Controlled Wine Fridge, Wireless Internet Access, a Telescope, Plenty of Adirondack Chairs, Linens and Bath Towels
