An open, spacious architect-designed home near Sengekontacket coastal pond is convenient to all the amenities of Edgartown. The Caroline Tuthill Wildlife Preserve with its access to a small, quiet beach on Sengekontacket, a town boat landing and major bike trail are within 1/2 mile away. State Beach which is a beautiful beach with easy access and calm water, ideal for swimming and children, is only 2 miles away and a pleasant bike ride. South Beach (5.4 mi) and the superb beach at Longpoint Wildlife Refuge (7.5 mi) are also nearby. Design features include a double height space in the living area with large amounts of glass and a bridge connecting the main house and guest house. Cathedral ceilings and multiple patio doors throughout provide lots of light and natural ventilation. A wonderful house for several families or couples and their guests.

Additional features include four separate decks on three levels with some water views through the trees on the second and third floors. The large living area adjoins an open dining area and kitchen with German-made Siematic cabinets and Miele appliances. Bedrooms in the main house include a first floor room with queen size bed, patio doors and access to a deck. The main second floor bedroom which has a cathedral ceiling is surrounded by a deck with four sets of patio doors. The third floor with a full bath and two sleeping areas (one with a double bed, twin bed and sitting area; the other with one double and two twin beds) has four skylights, two sets of patio doors and a separate deck. The guest house has a full kitchen, loft and separate entrance, with another deck that connects to the main house. It includes a 3/4 antique bed and full size futon couch with an additional twin bed in the loft. |
