On a beach you will never forget! Just steps from our front door, is private Millway Beach. This is a spectacular, pristine tidal beach on a wonderful protected bay -- your own bit of heaven! Perfect for children and adults alike. Swim in the clean salt water at high or low tide. Fly a kite, build a sandcastle, or walk the magnificent stretch of tidal flats and search for sea shells as the tide receeds. In the evenings, kick back, put up your feet, and watch the breathtaking sunsets over the water.
Back at the house, take a warm outdoor shower, or a relaxing soak in the hot tub on the wonderful, enclosed, and totally private, back deck. Grill some fresh fish for dinner on the outdoor barbecue. Feel the ocean air while you dine or relax on the breezeway. You will see why we lovingly call our home ''Casa Contenta''
The house is well laid out with 5 bedrooms to accomodate a group. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. There is a fifth bedroom downstairs, conveniently located on the ground level, with its own full bath. We have plenty of beach towels, chairs and toys, and a fully equipped, modern kitchen. The house is perfect for a family, or for 2 or 3 couples traveling together. Everything you need -- in a gracious, comfortable setting.
You might want to bring your sneakers and bikes - the neighborhood has quiet little streets that are flat and perfect for walking or bike riding. We have left two bikes for you to use and enjoy.
And there's lots more fun nearby -- sports, adventures, dining & shopping! Take a 5-minute stroll over to the Marina to watch the boats and fishermen coming into the harbor. Or book an excursion of your own on the famous Whale Watch or with one of the many sport fishing boats. An easy 10-minute walk takes you to the historic Barnstable Village center on lovely Rt. 6-A with its many antique shops, art galleries, restaurants and ice cream shops. Delicious seafood, mini golf, public tennis and golf are all nearby too. We love our ''Casa Contenta'' in this quiet corner of the Cape, and we invite you to come make some memories of your own here.
My family, 12 in all, spent a wonderful week at 64 Sunset Lane last August. Without being on direct waterfront, the location of the house couldn’t be better. All that separates it from a nice beach and Barnstable Harbor is a quiet lane, and access to the water is literally only seconds away. Everything was very clean and the place had a real sense of “home.” There are four bedrooms which can accommodate couples or older children, and a “bunkroom” complete with toys for the younger set. Extras such as a breakfast room, upstairs TV room, and spacious enclosed deck in back help spread out a large group. The owner was very cooperative and accommodating. We had fun.

We had a fabulous vacation at this home in Barnstable. The house was so spacious, with built-ins everywhere. All needs that any family could possibly require for a week or longer stay were covered. The private beach was beautiful and the view of the Barnstable Harbor was very nice. My wife, myself, our children and 4 grandchildren spent most of the week at the house and on the beach, only venturing out for the Barnstable Whale Watch and taking in a Cape Cod Baseball League game in Harwich. We ate at the Dolphin and Mackateese restaurants and Captain Frosty's. The rest of the time, the family ate at the house or on the beach. During the rental process, the owner of this house was extremely helpful in answering all questions about the property and Barnstable area activities. She got back to us very quickly by email and provided useful responses. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone interested in renting a great home for a vacation on Cape Cod.
