Aquinnah is one of our favorite spots on the island, although Wasque on Chappy is a close second. We enjoy both of these beaches for the serenity and lack of crowds.

Aquinnah has been our sentimental favorite of the many beautiful beaches on MV. The combination of rugged coastline, enchanting clay cliffs with an array of colors, changing with the light, the relative remoteness of the place (meaning fewer crowds), the charming lighthouse and dramatic sea views, friendliness of the locals working there--all contribute to the unique beauty and peace of the place. Any time of the day is a good one to visit...

What can I say? The cliffs are breathtaking, the rocks in the water provide hours of entertainment for the kids as do the waves. Not to mention the people watching if you are up for a stroll down the beach....wear your sunglasses:)

Beautiful and not crowded. Up Island is our favorite for exploring. Plus Menemsha has the best places for lunch!

We love Katama and we go there the most. It is clean and gorgeous with good waves! But the drive to Aquinnah and the Gay Head Cliffs is well worth the cost of parking and the drive. The cliffs are gorgeous and not to be missed!
